India's national record holder Neeraj Chopra qualified for the men's javelin throw final after throwing a distance of 86.65m in his first attempt and finishing on top of the ranking table.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games are taking place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021.

Neeraj Chopra has been India's best track and field athlete in awhile. The guy has been constantly breaking and bettering national records pertaining to javelin throw in last few years. Its a pity that as a country we are too much involved in cricket and thus athletes like Mr. Chopra doesn't get the due publicity he deserves.

Don't know others but arshad nadeem's story is amazing. Boy ditched cricket and trained himself without any proper coaching. No support from sports board and lack of funds didn't make him to give up. He won bronze at Asian games 2018. Many Indians will surprise to know that he got inspiration from neeraj. Sports bring nations together
