P- Chan is just an anagram for Ame's PC. She texts herself using her PC and her phone. It's her way of coping with her past, her loneliness and her desire for love and approval. So this way, this is the best ending as Ame stops depending on this fake person she created in her head, gets in touch with reality and handles her future on her own. No matter how hard P Chan tries, there's only one person who can save Ame, and it's herself.

Sorry to say this, but I have a different opinion. P-chan is the producer, just like how Arknights have a doctor, and Blue Archive have a sensei. The "Producer" character exists. I am not sure why people wants to think she is talking to herself. :/ I know she has a rough past of bullying and parent nearly send her to prostitution, but man, if she really talks to herself, that's some mental issue

So once you know this: * Do you Love me suddenly becomes just her living her own delusional bubble * Needy Girl Overdose becomes Ame having a meltdown and smashing her PC talking to herself * Nymphomania is just her addicted to self-love * Raising the affection rate too high causes a game over because you're actually making her more subsumed in being delusional * Internet Overdose becomes exponentially WORSE * All those moments where she was venting and breaking down is her yelling into a wall It's really sad.

Great perspective, a lot of other "bad endings" earlier where P-chan was abandoned looks better under this view. They may mean Kangel simply moved on away from Ame. Also I was wondering the dialogue options for P-chan in the Internet Overdose ending were so incoherent, combined with this Save0 ending it makes sense now.

Been there :( for real... sometimes talking to yourself really does help though... saying stuff out loud somehow makes it "Real" where as just thinking it isn't as effective. at least for me when im incredibly stressed out, i guess.

It is funny and unsurprising that the best ending is the ending where we dont exist or interfere with her at all.

This is possibly the best outcome, Ame becoming more positive, confident in herself and not trapped in the constant need of validation of others. Whatever happens afterwards shes got a better mindset to chase her dreams than when she first started.

i have a love-hate relationship with this game. i love it for what it is, but i "hate" it because Ame's behavior, thoughts and feelings are identical to what I was like when I was 15. Purely obnoxious, insecure and terribly toxic person with clinical depression trying to find solace on the internet. In that aspect, though, the game does an EXCELLENT job portraying what a mentally deranged and lonely person is like so props to the creators (but also, i will never play it again because holy shit at some point it reminded me of my past self so much i was physically cringing XD)

Ame casually getting more than million followers in a day is terrifying. Also i guess she also no longer cuts herself under stress, that's good

For Ame,This is quite possible the best ending for her because she's finally broken out of her cage and is pursuing a positive future and dreams. For Players,This is quite possible the most saddest/bittersweet ending because Ame no longer needs P-chan or should i say YOU no more and so she moves on from you The Ending isn't satisfying to the least..and I suppose that's the point. To shine a little bit of light,You as a Player just pulled a Doctor Strange and finally made a Mentally Unstable Girl understood that her path is destructive by literally making her experience 21 scenarios which includes the messed up ones. and If you literally put yourself on her shoes which...is exactly the real twist of the game.Then you've just achieved the best ending. Sure,Happy End World is the "Good Ending" because it's quite similar to this while Ame also Values You...But She doesn't slap you with Reality/Truth Bomb. That's the difference between a True ending and Good ending. The True Ending is Realistic while Good Ending just feels Good and Rewarding.

They made it realistic that way. Leaving P-Chan and handling her future on her own won't magically cure Ame on day 1. She'll still have her ups and downs, but at the end of the day, she's taking responsibility for herself and her own life.

This game really represent the feeling of a person with mental illness really well. I love it.

Good for ame But kinda sad for us as the players Although it definitely makes you happy knowing she no longer needs you, her imaginary friend and found her purpose in life. Its kinda like those stories in shows or movies where people move on from their imaginary friends. Like they're happy knowing they completed their job in keeping the person sane enough to continue living. And begin to fade to nothingness while being happy knowing they're about to begin to start their new healthy life. I'm glad this ending exists At first I played this with mind of "Jesus man this game is crazy like ddlc" But over time it got quite depressing when you begin to learn the truth, you want to help her, but since technically.. you're her, most positive things puts her in a wrong path. I wanted a good ending so badly, I couldn't help seeing all these heartbreaking things. All of her texts and all of your REPLIES are actually what she's thinking.

This also make some endings, like labor is evil a lot more hopeful in hindsight. She stopped talking to the player because maybe she moved on from needing to depend on us.

possibly bittersweet for people not in a similar position as ame but for the handful of us who see her as a reflection? you shouldn't need to depend... always try and find your own legs to stand on regardless of if that p-chan may have just been a reflection, ah...

the revelation that "P-chan" is some figment of her imagination and not a player character she's just abandoned makes me feel better about her leaving

She could have been self-diagnosing herself with issues and taking them illegally, that was another theory I had. She manipulates (you) P-Chan into helping her because she’s *apparently ill* Then, she really starts to develop those issues over time from going from doing stuff for attention to actually getting depression anxiety, depression, ect from getting so sucked up into the life of being a steamer. She gets her wish and doesn’t know how to handle it all

I think which ending is the “true ending” totally depends on the player. This entire game is the Schrödinger's cat. If you loved ame-chan and cared about her well being, you will easily achieve normie life, (un)happy end world or happy end world. To achieve (un)happy end world or happy end world depends if the player turned on its internet. Basically you can not achieve happiness with internet on. And if you cared about ame-chan you will stop at happy end world. Anyone who achieved secret.txt fulfilled 2 condition: 1. Connected to internet so you can search how to achieve each ending. 2. Intentionally tortured ame-chan for fun or curiosity through every bad ending because you subconsciously believe ame-chan is just a game character, she doesn’t even exist. Only to find out a secret that you don’t even exist and ame-chan doesn’t even care about you because you are just an imagination. Well deserved.

I don't think this is the case, because she seems to greet you at the start of Data0, telling you that she wanted to try playing the game herself. I think it's a sign of her making an attempt to understand herself better, and finally gaining the confidence to make her own choices for herself. As she says in her final message to you. I think the secret txt is just supposed to show that she had been grading the player secretly throughout your playthroughs to learn from your mistakes, only to conclude that you won't be able to find the ending she's looking for, and that only she can make a new, happier ending for herself. Granted, I really love your interpretation of being punished for overplaying the game, but she doesn't seem to hold a grudge against the player in the Data0 conversations, so I think it's safe to say she's still grateful we cared about her so much, even if we admittedly made her suffer alot to get there...

Old reply yeah but my personal interpretation on the endings is that they're all inside her head, theyre all alternatives that she overthinks and stresses out inside her head (which is the reason most of them are SO unrealistic like the internet shutting down one). This interpretation is further backed up by the name of Save0, 0 being before 1, 2 or 3. The main ending and storyline is save 0, the route that happens before any of the other saves the player/p-chan couldve done Tldr: save 0 is the true ending, since the name itself also tells us save 0 happens before save 1,2 or 3

Thinking about it now, the "cucked" ending would ironically be the best ending, since she stopped playing this make-pretend relationship with her imaginary bf and found an actual boyfriend and actually seemed happy. Sure, from your perspective the first time you see it hurts, but it all makes sense when you realize that there was never a "player" to begin with

This is actually beautiful. We, the player (or should i say GOD) need not to intervine with the digital being that is Ame. Ame knows that her imaginary creation "P-Chan" isn't actually real, and we, the player are controlling her creation.

People say how this means that she moved from the fake imaginary boyfriend in her head but if think about it, in the text she mentions the term "current p-chan". This means she has done this before and is not planning to stop. According to the last few lines of text, she is planning of "upgrading" her imaginary bf into an imaginary husbando. So in a way she did not move on from p-chan, rather she is just continuing a viscous cycle.( atleast thats what i think ) Edit: I forgor to add the "did not" the first time

well, I actually think that the husband p-chan Ame was talking about IS the current p-chan we play as, it's why it was there since the beginning, if that's the case, while it would be vicious, but I think it'll lessen the impact of the meaning of this ending, trying to actually move on and be confident in yourself.

I'm going to be *that* guy for a second, if you don't mind. Tulpamancy and schizophrenia are two different things. STAY WITH ME PLEASE-- HEAR ME OUT--- And this is evident in her actual schizophrenia ending where she's hearing and seeing things that aren't actually there. She knowingly creates P-Chan in the image she desires and depending how you view tulpas, deludes herself into believing she's another real person (In her mind) or accepts she's created another person (in her mind). Even after she did all this though, she was still herself and she was very aware of what was real and what isn't. She ultimately decides "No. This won't work. I'm going to do it myself." and finds extreme success in doing so. She was never dwelling on twitter or living on it at any point up until she decided to do it herself. Everything with P-Chan was her imagining it up about how it'd go. "My stress would probably skyrocket doing that this much... I wouldn't be able to handle it... Yeah, I'd probably cut myself. Or in this event... Yeah, I'd probably just fall too deep and throw myself off the roof." This is why she says "If you don't mind, I'm going to do it this time." She was aware of literally every avenue p-chan went through because you are her. She's not mentally well, but she's far from being a schizophrenic.
