I keep ending up at Five Below & finding tons of squishmallows while squishmallow hunting, to customize & paint on. I've found quite a few squishmallows, even some rare squishmallows at Five Below, however there are some that I'm still hunting down. Today I'm going to be needle felting some of my top favorite squishmallows including Avery, Connor the cow squishmallow, Wendy the frog squishmallow, and Jack the black cat. This isn't my first time needle felting, it's actually my second so I'm still a beginner. This time around I didn't need to use a needle felting kit, but this video isn't exactly a needle felt tutorial, hopefully you can still get an idea of how to needle felt by watching it though! I like customizing things and turning them EVIL, it's kind of my thing. In fact I have quite a few series where I do some cheap diys that end up looking pretty chaotic. Other makeover series that I do include Dollar Store Makeovers, Thrift Store Makeovers, Doll Makeovers, Squishy Makeovers, etc. I hope you like what I made!

You can use polyfil as a center and needle felt the color wool around that to save your nice color wool. It's takes a bit more work to get it to shape up but it's worth it to save your nice colors.

Also I hope no one thinks this is self promo I don’t post yt vids. I just love me some new crafts!! Honestly if anyone has recs of ones I haven’t mentioned I’d love to learn some new ones!

Heya, prolific felter here! You can use pet brushes to brush out yarn for felting (try sticking to wool yarn btw, acrylic works but is tough to needlefelt compared to wet felting and cotton sucks ass) Also you can get more colors off etsy, my favorite sellers are curlyfurr by Beth sellers and carrparkartisen both on etsy. The keywords you'll want to use is "wool roving" and "felt fiber" since some people don't advertise their fiber as needle/wet felt fiber but instead as yarn spinning roving. Felting fiber is very versatile which is why I love it! Also for textures you can use locks, nepps, or coils! The name of the wool dictates which sheep it comes from. Merino sheep have the finest and softest wool but I do recommend roughing the fibers to felt otherwise you'll get lines. I personally prefer corridale as it's soft af and felts quickly! Also using a core fiber to make the shape helps save those colored wool pieces! It's called "core fiber" and is pretty cheap per Oz. You can also use polyfil but it's slippery so it may be frustrating! Hope this was informative and helpful, I really love felting and love answering questions!

Just a note if you ever want to do needle felting again: styrofoam will dull your needles and probably break them more easily. Instead of getting another supply you can just use sponges, given that you took the rough green part first, but that will be the perfect material and super cheap!

You can make your "Core ball" out of a different color (like one you don't like/will never use) and cover it with your actual color to fill out the form, making a bigger piece, or making a small amount of your preferred color go further!
