Needle Case Tutorial (Pt. 3)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hi everyone,
this is Pt. 3 in the mini series for how I put together my little needle case.
The outside cover is stitched in place and in this part we cover placement of the button and how to create & options for the closure. These have been such fun to make and I hope you are enjoying following along and creating your own.
I appreciate you watching and all of your lovely comments. They mean a lot to me and I enjoy reading each and everyone...thank you.

My gramma used to tat with the shuttle! She would go so fast I could not catch on! She had no patience to teach me! Very interesting!

Well there you go ... 'whipping' is a new one for me, such an easy technique to get that great effect! Great tutorial (as usual) ... you make learning a new technique so easy, thank you.

These have been great tutorials. I have been wanting a needle case for a few years and just not got round to it, I also wanted to try sew4thesoul but have so many other projects I want to complete. I love that I can combine the two into something more manageable. I went and got felt yesterday and I'm inspired! Thank you so much.

Hi Carol, These are so cute. Never seen that technique with the thread before. Great effect. I’ve seen this video first before the other parts so I’ve some catching up to do! I’m going to give this a go as I’m struggling to constantly find the right needle. There all in a tin at the moment and I’ve been meaning to come up with a better solution. Thanks again for a fabulous tutorial. Jo 💕

Of course I don't mind you asking, Denny. More than happy to share info or answer any question if I know the answer to it. The shuttle I was using was a tatting shuttle. Mine is metal as it's ages old but you can pick up plastic ones ( eg off Amazon) cheaply enough. BUT if you only want to use it for this project and to for tatting generally then I'd just put your thread on a spool or old machine thread bobbin as you really don't need a tatting shuttle. It's not as easy if you do that though as both my suggestions aren't as slim and streamline as a tatting shuttle but they will work. Hope that helps. Hugs C xx
