I played Need for Speed 3 Hot Pursuit when my Stomach was bad and it helped me keep my sanity and I can't find it or the console anymore .Does the Need for Speed here compare ?? Shutting off traffic and Cops and such ??

My 2nd favorite was MW 2012 xD

Despite this game being 8 years old, graphics and gameplay are still great.

This game is close to perfection. The cars feel and look fantastic. The city the game is based in has so much detail from driving on country roads, driving through forests, driving along side beaches and driving up rocky mountains and it all looks incredible. Career mode is fun and quite challenging as you progress through it. Online is great also, although I did encounter racers with bad connection who would lag all over the place at times. And finally the soundtrack is one of the best, if not the best one a Need for Speed game has ever had. For me this game deserves nothing less than a 9.

Joao Cardisus There's no problem with it. Don't get me wrong, I love customization and all, I do it to my cars in games like Midnight Club LA and The Crew, but I don't necessarily need it to have fun. I mean, driving stock supercars and being chased by police supercars is more than enough for me.

Unit23OnPatrol Me being one of them. I'd choose NFS:HP over any other 2016 racing game. I own it on my PC and Xbox, which I've completed the whole campaign on both, Most Wanted as a racer and Ultimate Enforcer as a cop on both. If this game tracked hours, I would have over 2000 hours on it. I still play it to this day, never getting bored of it.

I first introduced to Need for Speed with Hot Pursuit II for the PS2. Which ironically is what got my family into/back into Rush. We played the crap out of that game. I was too young to really understand it so I mostly just watched my brother and my dad go at it. The soundtrack was phenomenal as well. Excellent song choices. I actually have the playlist on my ipod. Things started to wear on me when various Need for Speed titles came out for the Wii that I didn't care for. It was more about street racing (focused on one city with various missions) rather than the broad landscapes that Hot Pursuit provides. Hot Pursuit 2010 is what I would consider the true sequel to Hot Pursuit II. It's like comparing Legend of Korra to The Last Airbender. or like Matt Smith to David Tennant.

Yet it is a very effective move. Not a noob move. I've dominated so many players by using that. And nitrous is so easy to fill up it's not even funny. There's no such thing as a "noob" move in a game like this, because it's all about having fun man.

Can't wait to replay this classic when the remaster comes next month.

My favorite NFS by far! The fact that you can play as a cop, set traps etc is amazing!

I never used Autolog back then, Im looking up to the remaster to see for myself.

I just re bought this. I remember thinking the graphics were incredible when I bought it new back in 2010. Still holds true. This is one of the most exciting games I’ve ever played, soundtrack is amazing, cars are great. I give this a 10/10.

Best racing game I ever played! The coolest thing I ever saw an NPC do in my life was he was going fast and he saw the shortcut exit a lil too late but went for it anyways and crashed full on into the wall LMAO, when in your life do you see A.I. do that, this NPC actually decided too late to go for the shortcut and failed in the worst possible way. In my life if A.I. wants to go for a shortcut they do it with ease, if they don't they don't question it, there always logical and that just blew my mind and made me think just how much do these NPC actually think AMAZING

This is the only reason i keep my old console. A remaster, or backwards compatibility would give me a reason to play this nonstop again

Old memory well still in our harts :(

Absolutely my favorite video game of all time. This game is timeless. Been playing this game for 10 years and love it just as much as day 1.

Now rumors say this is coming back remastered so I am hyped & looking forward to hearing more!

One of the worst things in this game are those Cinematic cameras. And the geniuses didn't give you an option to turn them off. The original Most Wanted had them too, but at least you could disable them, do that you don't find yourself running directly into a spikestrip after you hit the pursuit breaker. But here? No. Screw you. Options? What do you mean by that? We need some way to allow those AI's to catch up to you, by having other AI drive your car slowly during those mini-cutscenes.

Phendranaguardian Yes, I noticed that you can absorb those emp's and spikestrips, but I would much rather drive by myself, instead of having an invincible slow-driving AI take over my car every time something happens. It really would not have killed them if they had the courtesy to add an option to play with or without those cinematic cameras. For me personally, it took away from the experience. Sure it looked cool... for the first 3 or 4 times maybe, then it just became a nuisance.

I actually have played it, *that's* why I found it to be annoying. I've even found threads with people asking for patches/fixes/updates/mods to disable those game moment cameras. I do find the game good, like that the AI themselves know how to powerslide on corners, make errors etc, it's just that I cringe every time a Hot Pursuit event with powerups comes, not because the race gets more complex (that's a good thing) but because I'll spend like 1/3 of the race watching stuff happen and having the game drive for me... it already does enough with that automatic drifting thingie. Anyways, any real gamer knows that Gameplay > Coolness.
