#diymusician makes an #custominstrument semi-acoustic upright bass. This is generally just the power tools stage of neck carving before I’d start fine tuning with mostly hand tools. Definitely looking like the thing it’s supposed to be now. This design will re-purpose some p-bass style Grover tuners. I’ll get the fingerboard on and then start to fine tune, custom carve, based on some combination of conventional wisdom and how it feels in my hand.
