The channel is only 9 yrs old? That's around the time I started playing DF, and Nook's 45 min tutorial is what finally got me to understand the game. I gave the link to that video to at least 100 people that have asked how to begin

I love this video! Necesse is such a great game. I would really like to see a long series of you playing this one, like how you used to do with some games in the old days. Multiplayer is an awesome idea too!

Long series really struggle on KZread now, mostly because KZread doesn’t recommend the videos past the first couple. I now do these longer ones in place of them, a 3 hour video would be about 6 episodes of a let’s play.

Wow! THAT was unexpected that the hired NPCs are perma-dead! I can imagine a corpse back at your town that has to be revived somehow, but just "Oh well, go gather up more people!" seemed a bit harsh. But thanks for YOU finding that out before _I_ had the experience...lol

On my end, the video is jumpy. It pauses (though the sound continues) and then jumps forward. I rewound it ten seconds, and it jumps in the same place. Anyone else have this problem? I have very decent internet, and a fairly good PC (much above average).

@@Nookrium In all the video, it happened in 2 seperate occasions, spanning maybe 5 minutes in all.

Each time, it happens for a second or two, catches up, it's then okay for 10 seconds or so, happens again. At least, it doesn't happen when there's any real action

But can I colonize the underground?

I don't know if you are looking for feedback, but I personally really dislike seeing Twitch chat on KZread. I watch a video because I want to see a game played by someone I find likeable/competent/entertaining (or all three) and not to be bombarded with the "quality" of the typical stream watcher on display. Anyway, love your videos. :)

Let me add my two cents then: I enjoy stream chat and wish it was bigger for better readability. These are stream VODs, and chat is part of them. I miss being able to reference what interactions are happening that the streamer is responding to. The "quality of the typical stream watcher" is a moot point; youtube comments are equally bad (if not worse), and Nook does not seem to foster any sort of community that warrants the word 'quality' to be put in quotation marks.

I appreciate the feedback and would love to hear how others feel about it. I’ve squished it into the corner, trying to keep it as unobtrusive as possible while still being legible (on a bigger screen anyway) so those that don’t want it can easily ignore but those who do like it, have it.

@@Nookrium That's perfectly fine for me. I just dislike it being shoved into my face, while I want to concentrate on gameplay or the streamers reactions. :)

@@ShaCaro There is a difference between comments (which you need to manually open/scroll down to) or chat being right there in the videos. Also, the "quality" of Twitch comments is usually abysmal. Doesn't matter what kind of community someone tries to foster. Anyway, Nook does show the chat in an unobtrusive way. So, I do not care and you can try to follow those interactions as much as you want. We both get what we want. :)
