"Bootleg" isn't usually what you're getting per say. I ordered the same four turtles off E-Bay years ago with the red headbands and recently bought Splinter and Usagi Yojimbo off Ali Express. The way I understand it is that with most figures that look identical (and certainly the last 2 I bought came in 100% retail boxes) these are made from the same molds, in the same factory, with the same painting team. If Neca (or whichever company) orders 25,000 units of a figure, the company in China will do a 3rd shift and produce an extra "X" amount and sell them on E-Bay/Ali Express etc... for a near 100% profit. The reason they look so close to the originals (in these types of cases) is because they are the "originals", just not sold through the actual company. With buyer protection and being able to see their rating, you're not going to get sloppy remolds/painting of figures sold on these legit platforms. If you did, you'd get your money back based on them false advertising their products as Ali Express holds the money until you acknowledge that you received what you wanted. This will auto release after a certain amount of days past the point where they see you received your package. I've yet to get anything less than the actual product I was expecting.... although everyone's mileage may vary. It just takes a few minutes of doing your own due diligence.

It seems that beca bootlegs are impeccable apart from a few , but if you go for a mafex for example then you will definitely see the difference

Fun fact, there are red versions of the bootleg with the red mask. I’m gonna get a pair of turtles off of Walmart and there’s 70 bucks. I’m kind of nervous to get them.😁

O think this got to be the only bootleg thats probably bought more than the original

Complete opposites us two ha ha

Nice review, picked up two sets on AE, (one with colored for my son one with red masks for me), and they’re alright, but the green is a darker shade, which I’m bummed about. I’d prefer finding them with the lighter shade of green (like the originals & the Lawson series) if possible. Any particular sites on AE that you’ve seen the items in the lighter shade that actually arrive in that color green?

Bought sum bootlegs a couple years ago for $60. Red bandannas and no ab crunch (just waist twist). Plastic is decent quality, however the arm on my Mikey broke off almost immediately and Donnie’s knee pad broke off. Other than that they’re pretty good for the price.

I had some other turtle figures that were figma I think , they looked good but terrible for the parts , I had to superglue them into poses

Damn 😂😂 I glued some neodymium magnets on Mikey’s arm and put a couple down in the peg hole and it worked… RATHER well but still not great lol

Quick warning the bootlegs from a few years ago were MUCH better quality than the ones being made now. I got a set for $60 this year and they look nowhere near as good as the ones in this vid. Paint is off, frozen or lose joints, and weird looking hands. They look decent on a shelf but nowhere as good as his in the vid. just a heads up tho.

P I don't I'm afraid I've heard recently that the new bootlegs are not as good quality although I can't prove this , if you look on Ali express and type ninja turtle figures you should come across them
