The Batarang had two props. The folding one that this one is based on and the solid one piece prop that was used for throwing.

That's right! The throwing props were rubber.

The positive legacy Batman 89 has left on the character itself can never be understated.

I just love the Batman 89 still have my joker and Batman figures several models of the batmoblie the movie trading cards I found the official movie hardcover hidden in my stuff... Batman 89 was childhood... have all the Batman 89 comics picked up the last one today...it was an awesome series...with Billy see Williams Harvey dent as two face and a new robin...

Great reviews , while not Necas first step into grapnel launchers (I still have the Arkham ones ,though not sure if the batarang was made by Neca ) would love to see a side by side of the 89 , animated and Arkham versions

I have both of them and I bought them at Planet Comic Con. Neca has made my dreams come true by making these items based on my favorite movie of all time.

Are we gonna get an NECA Batman '89 Utility Belt for these?

If I'm reading that right, the motor in the grapnel gun is 24 volts. Seems a bit overkill for a "string" retractor. Considering the short length, I'm surprised they didn't go for some sort of spring mechanism.

I need that grapple on your boss I got the batarang I got the batarang from Batman beyond and I got night wings sticks I just got to get the grapple gun. Another great video

That's a good idea.

I have the baterang, it does throw very nicely. I tried it out on some pillows, from across my den. But I wouldn’t recommend it, on anything harder lol. I passed on the grappling hook. It’s ridiculous to have to buy special batteries, but that’s just me. Great review

Brad I found a better version of the batarange and grapple gun both of one's i have are metal and come with better stands and are the exact same price as the neca ones

Not quite. They are different. The Arkam one looks like it's inspired by this one.

@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek I mean Neca made a replica of the Arkham grappling gun many years ago and it has the exact same mechanism. basically they simply made a 89 mold and put the same stuff inside.
