Thank-you for the video. I was interested in this as I think I might have to replace the brush motor on my D5. But how did you establish that the problem was the motor, as opposed to (eg) the main board that the motor plugs into? I have other questions as well, if you have the patience to answer - when you tested the new motor, were you using a 12 V DC supply, and what was the capacitor? Any details would be appreciated!

you can test the motor without any capacitor - just apply DC voltage, 10V or 12V is OK, test the motor out of the board (disconnect motor) and apply direct voltage to it

@@RoeeBloch Thanks very much Roee - turns out the motor ran fine when disconnected and tested with an external voltage. Trying to decide the next step now. I suppose it could still be the motor - not sure what those other wires on the motor are for. Or maybe the problem is on the motherboard?
