Pat Metheny reinvented the traditional sound of jazz guitar, bringing a fresh sonic potential to the instrument while offering a deep reservoir of improvisational insight and musicality. He is one of the few artists who has achieved crossover popularity (three of his recordings achieving gold record status with more than 20 million records sold worldwide) and critical acclaim. Wow, what a gem you are and I had no clue you were from the suburbs of KC! What luck that you had your musical dad and grandpa, and the jazz greats of the time as teachers/influences... you are truly in my eyes the TOP progressive and contemporary jazz, Latin jazz, and jazz fusion KING and well deserve this award for your life's work and genius in creating some of the world's most beautiful music. My heart and spirit soar when I listen to you. It is so powerful that it is like LOVE and TRUE BLISS in musical form. There are no words to thank you for making the world a better place! From a forever fan since 30 years. We love you Pat!

Secret Story played front to back - Massey Hall Toronto November 1992 - Most exhilarating and emotional musical journey ever experienced. Thank you Pat Metheny! That album still gives me chills like no other.
