City of Dallas aint done nothing but move this to 9759 Forest which is the shopping center across from bent creek. These guys out there dealing and shooting on the regular and Dallas Police and the City aint doing nothing. The security guys on Forest Lane are the ones doing something and keeping these guys away from our homes. You call 911 and they dont come and when they do these guys just run off and come right back when the police leaves. These guys always out there and police aint doin nothin. City wants to point fingers and blame business owners and make them do security but what is that gonna do if the police dont do nothing. I have been walking to the store and i have heard these gang members who deal drugs threaten the security guys next to the shoppin center in the apt complex. SMH at the City. I am moving next week to Richardson to a much better area. At least i know when i call 911 in Richardson soemthin gonna happen. If you live on Forest Lane you gotta call security to get something done.

This area has been a crime infested shit hole for decades. I lived at Forest & Audelia for 6 months in the early 90's and I moved because it wasn't a very good neighborhood back then. Such a shame, back in the early and mid-80's it was an upbeat singles hot spot. There was a fun little sports bar back in the corner of the 9757 shopping center. It didn't last past 1992 because a shady crowd started hanging out there causing fights and dealing drugs which chased away all the regulars. The owner saw the writing on the wall and sold it. He moved back to Las Vegas where he was from and opened a neighborhood which still exists to this day. The new owner decided to cater to the crowd causing this commotion, but that didn't last long. He changed the name of the place and thought he could relate better to them, LMAO. The place was robbed every other month it seemed. He tried to sell it, but couldn't. So, he shut it down and sold everything. I wish I could remember the name of it, I want to say it was the Fifth Base? The entire area is a cheap-rent district full of breeding dens for criminals and drug addicts. I won't even drive through that neighborhood on the off chance my car gets a flat or has some other problem. Damn shame.

This part of Dallas has become the 'hood, and it's a business owner's fault! What the hell are they smoking at city hall?!! They must be buying it in that lot!!

Dallas is putting the responsibility to curb crime on businesses? Sounds like a way to shift responsibility a bit. City cannot manage crime so the closest businesses to the crime becomes responsible. So the business call the cops on criminals and is more than likely told the department is stretched to thin or that it takes hrs to get police out to the location. Odd approach but whatever.

Dallas County's new D.A. is now relaxing enforcement on many misdemeanors and felonies. I would sell that center if I were the owner. Why is the owner expected to do what the Sactuary City Of Dallas is obviously unable to do? And now the new D.A. is gonna make things worse.

I was literally catching the bus at the bus stop across the street from there in May of 2017. 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

I used to live in this area back in late 90's and wasn't this bad.

Yea... he needs to go to Philly & another owner can buy that lot... perhaps invest on cameras in the middle of the parking lot. I am sure that would help.
