Everybody can make movies about this period in history but the best will always be the german ones. It really takes you there. Scary to be precise. For long years the german people just couldn t think of it . Its hard to accept. But in later years they have been making some very good TV series. Like 'Babylon' if Im not mistaken. It's an interesting scene. however, the eagles on their kepi hats are a late 1938 design, this would be happening in 1932-1934

SS had just 10% headcount from SA. The SS became after the "Röm assisination" in wich the leading officers of SA where killed, the secret police force and Heinrich Himmler becamer their leader. After that (1934) the SA where shut down and the SS took the whole police forces over. The built up concetration camps and started the Holocaust. After starting the war in 1939 the SS built up own military units, the Waffen SS. They where part elite units and they started to hunt jews in occupied countries as well. The GESTAPO (secret states police force) had been a unit of the SS as well. It is untrue that SA had working class and the SS high class. Same social background.

🤓erm... akshually SA wasn't shut down in 1934, the organization stayed around until the end of the war. Viktor Lutze became the new SA-Stabchef on 1 July 1934 and held that position until his death on 2 May 1943, then Max Jüttner filled that role for two months until Wilhelm Schepmann became the new SA-Stabchef for the rest of the war.

FALSE. The SA were NOT shut down in 1934 but continued on right up until the end of the war, as a vital component of the Party and Hitler's original "Old Guard". And about the SS; just in order to even get into the SS required a pedigreed background going back generations, as well as a high level of physical fitness. So no, it wasn't open to just any old day laborer or shoeshine boy.

The GESTAPO was a STATE agency and not a part of the Nazi Party itself, unlike the SS which WAS a unit of the Nazi Party. Also the SA had its own military wing which was the Feldernhalle Brigade. Also the SA had its own navy or marine branch, which worked closely with the German Navy and the Marine Branch of the Hitler Youth. The SA remained an important part of Nazidom right up until the end of the war, and were valued as the embodiment of Nazi militancy and as Hitler's original supporters and vanguard. I believe they also did have some internal security functions within Germany, just like the SS. So NO they were not killed off by the SS but merely reigned in. They remained a powerful force.

NO they did not have the same socio-economic background. SS tended to be middle/upper middle-class background, SA were unemployed or working class. Google it. SS were originally ridiculed as "parade ground soldiers" by the SA and regular army, and were not taken seriously. Also----just as with the SA---there was a percentage of homosexuals among them.

The fact of the matter is when some leader gets the head job of a country and comes up with, "The Jews are all responsible for (whatever)" and goes in that direction, the country itself always implodes thereafter. Three of most recent examples of this happening are Lukaschenko in Belarus, Chavez in Venezuela, and Erdogan in Turkey. There's a huge difference in all these 3 countries currency before and after when they took over. They used brown, because the Nazi Party's cheapest uniform options were discarded surplus Imperial Tropical uniforms of WW1, which were brown/beige in color.

@@Bahamut3525 interesting. The British army wore red as it was the cheapest colour, until the African and Boer wars made them obvious targets. The various fascist groups across Europe wore a whole range of colours, though red was more associated with the Communists /young Labour & socialists. Green was associated with Kibbo Krift in the UK , later Woodcraft or the youth wing of the peace movement. I suppose the nearest clan thing today are football shirts , at a team or national level . Though clearly less political. Sorry forgot about MAGA hats. Brown is still a terrible colour, associated with JP Morgan , and Surrey County Cricket 🏏😜
