My mother was present at the part in the fields (at around 1.20)which i think may have been near nussberg. She was 6 and shook hands with him. At 17 she was in isolation in braunschweig hospital with fever. Then after meeting my dad a british soldier on national service in braunschweig she moved to england in 1951 and stayed until she died in 1994 she never had one bad word said to her in england and the church was packed at her funeral. I visited braunschweig every two yrs from 1962...amazing timeline. Greetings from north east england oh fur ein paar wolters.

Meine Mutter ist in Braunschweig in August 1931 geboren. Sie is gerade (im Oktober 2022) gestorben. Sie ist 1958 nach USA ausgewandert; wohnte bis 2021 in Minneapolis (wo ich geboren bin), und and am Ende ihres Lebens in Palm Springs, Kalifornien. Sie will gerne, dass ich ein Teil ihrer Asche auf dem Nussberg zerstreue.

FALSCH !! zu "dieser Zeit" war Braunschweig eine wunderschöne Stadt. Sie war die größte Stadt in Europa,aus einer durchgängig bestehenden mitteralterlichem Fachwerkhäusern. Alles ausgelöscht und verbrannt, weil Fachwerk ja brennt wie Zunder bei Phosphor=Napalm. Diese britische Bombardierung war ein Verbrechen. Doch der Braunschweiger Dom hat standgehalten. Schaue Dir die Straße einmal genau an Yvonne Pape-Mackay. So sah einmal der Bohlweg aus. Jetzt ist Braunschweig eine Drecksstadt, wie alle total ausgebombten Städte in Deutschland. Rote-Tote und seelenlose Architektur. Hässlich ohne Ende. Und genau das war der Plan der Briten und Amies. Nimm einem Volk ihre Geschichte=Häuser/Architektur und es kommt ein sich nicht mehr identifizierendes Gemisch aus Menschen heraus. Der Hooton-Plan hat in Braunschweig gut funktioniert. Und es wird der Tag kommen, dann werden die Briten dafür noch büßen...

Brunswick is the american name of one of their first states. They came from Braunschweig.
