@@Anonymous18817 From your followup questions, you don't sound like you want to become one, you sound more like you're fishing for research on whether people believe women should serve as seals or not, and whether they agree with your generic bullet points regarding the difficulties of women passing a standard. Regardless... no, women should not be seals. It completely obliterates the efficiency of the unit. There is no question about it, it's ridiculous and people need to stop trying to "cure" women of being who they are. Men and women don't have to be the same. Your points made regarding bone structure and fatigue are correct. If the training were adjusted to accommodate women, then we would not have the elite force we have today and it would be pointless to have the program at all. Exclude all of those problems - if one of the men in the unit are wounded or captured, that's accepted. If it's a woman, then the whole mission is potentially shot to hell because there is no defeating the big brother instinct. There is no way to train or beat that out of the biological makeup of men, especially the type of men that make it to becoming a Seal.

@@Anonymous18817 Well I was never a Navy Seal I was in the Marine corps and served in the infantry. However I'm quite sure that Women have not yet been authorized to participate in Seal Training. I know that the Army has been allowing small numbers of women attend Ranger school however as far as I know despite several dozen women having attempted to complete the incredibly grueling school. only 2 women have actually completed Ranger school. However both women were given reduced standards after every woman who participated in the ranger school training had failed. This alone will almost certainly cause moral issues in mixed army units as there will be a lot males who will automatically believe that women did not have to meet the same standards that males are required to meet. I cannot tell you how the Seal community feels about women attending buds however the Marine Corps which is a department of the Navy. Has banned all women from combat MOS's/Jobs after testing females in combat training. After doing a study which compared teams of both male and female Marines or mixed teams to Male only teams. And the results must not have been very good as the Marine Corps immediately came out and made it clear that inserting females into combat roles reduced the lethality of Marine Corps Infantry units. And despite the Marine Corps getting a lot of push back from the media and outside groups. For not allowing women to serve in combat roles. But if the Navy is now allowing women to participate in BUDS and you do get accepted into the program. I sincerely hope that you do well and achieve your goal to become a Navy Seal. But even if you don't. It is still an amazing thing that you want to serve your country. And having more people like you in the military. Will only serve to strengthen our military and I may not know you at all. But I'm proud to see a woman that is as determined to serve this nation as you are. Being a Seal , Marine , Ranger or whatever isn’t who you are . It helps you become who you become. I spent 9 years in combat & was wounded. That’s not who I am anymore. Now I’m a fisherman. Rarely do I see guys speak about what they did or didn’t do in public . Life is about experiences & this is just one small part of them . I watch this guy & I don’t care if he was a seal , Cub Scout or park ranger . I like his story telling side that simple .

Do you think women should be allowed to become Navy SEALs? What a bunch of hot garbage. In fact, MrBallen inspired me to donate monthly to Stronghold Rescue created by a Navy Seal he served with that protects and cares for families in conflict zones. I’ve donated for years now. It was the most emotional and inspiring story I’ve ever heard. I’m not brave enough to be a Seal but I felt compelled to do SOMETHING to help these people. I saw a lot of his seal content and it's why I followed him but everything he said is true. He never talked about he was "the man" but rather how it takes the team to get things done. I'm not sure if he's addressed it publicly but when he was almost killed his praise was for the team leader and the medic. He's an absolute badass and deserves all the success that has come his way. I've seen plenty of others who use being a seal as their whole personality but John didn't do it. I'm stoked he found a new path that brings him joy and success.

I have watched several of his videos. He is a great story teller. That is it, he simply entertains by telling a story. I did not even know he was a SEAL until i saw his video about The Kandahar. Other SEALs out there are very much promoting themselves and talk way too much, in my opinion.

Same here. I had no idea until he talked about it in a video where he explained his past. Kinda BS because every SEAL I see online promotes that they were a SEAL. So many videos titled "Navy SEAL talks about how they_________." especially in the gun side of youtube. There are channels where the whole theme is having SEALs on to talk about tactics, guns, their experiences, etc.

I’m from the southeast where huge numbers of military personnel come from and I’ll tell you, my family and families we know who have long histories of service going back many generations are for the first time telling their kids not to serve. It actually came up in a sermon at church. With leaders like Milley, Vindman and Levine we have no interest or intention of sacrificing years and potentially lives just to be snubbed, dishonored and misrepresented. If they clean house and boot all these woke activists out of leadership roles, families with traditions of serving might return to being willing to serve but it will require groveling or satisfying retribution on those who have hijacked our honored institutions. 🇺🇸✝️

Yeah I remember back in the late 90s I guess, SEAL Team 6 father Dick Marcinko wrote Rogue Warrior some years earlier... But I met a SEAL senior officer who bought my mother-in-law's condo and asked him about Marcinko. He was ice cold. Marcinko crossed lines and embarrassed a lot of senior officers and politicians by aggressively exposing their security failures after specific assignments. He also was first to be loosey goosey with his haircare. LOL. Yeah, they will deliver payback.

I loved seeing the fire in their eyes, the motivation that stirs up within them, and the desire in them not just to become better soldiers & Marines, but better people. It’s sad to see all the hate directed at him, but glad to see that he was able to push past that and find his niche in telling stories that ppl like me wouldn’t even have had the patience to read about and listen to. The problem a lot of SEALs have with him is part ego, they are jealous and stuck in the Navy: even Chadd from the "3 of 7 Project" youtube channel talks about how active duty guys get jealous of guys like MrBallen and David Goggins, and those who don't really care BUT: They call his career into question and call him a "1 Pump Chump" who made it through, trained up and only did 1 deployment. He got hurt and got out. Now he is making bank based on his name and 1 pump. Not saying anyone is wrong or right, just calling it as I see it. Jocko is a horse of a different color. He was bigger and badder then life and deserves all the success he has been endowed with. Special Op's is a tight, small community full of type "A" personalities that all count the items in the guy in front of thems shopping carts while standing in the Express Line. SNAFU.

I don't care if someone has 20 deployments or 0 deployments. I don't care if you retired as General or a PFC. I don't care about what your duty position was. You sign that dotted line, you are a brother or sister of mine FOR LIFE! It makes me absolutely sick to see fellow veterans turn their back on one of their own like this. Especially his comrades that were in combat with him. Those that made him feel that way, should be embarrassed. Who cares what he does with his personal life or his own experiences and stories? I was enlisted before I became an officer. Am I jealous of those who I served under, or those who served under me...if they are well off, trending on social media, or making bank. Absolutely NOT. I am happy for all of them and my support for them will never end. December is year 16 in the Army for me. I understand how it feels. When I was deployed to Kuwait, I was laughed at for it 'not being real', but when I went to Afghanistan, suddenly I was a mu*derer. People are bitter, and it is horrible.
