@@awesomeecuadorian yeh they've been divorced for a few years now. He cheated on her and he was exposed... everything is deleted though. Same with Stylesuzi, her husband also cheated. She posted a impulse post about it and immediately deleted it.

Yes but more so on how she navigates healing, family, and coparenting ❤
This is now my favorite episode, as someone who went through a divorce of a 10 year relationship as well I really related. Cathy you seem like such a caring mother and thoughtful person, I'm glad you felt ok sharing your story. I remember struggling to make sense of everything as quick as possible, which wasn't helpful. I like that you can recognize it takes time, I want to say it's not linear but know you are on the right path especially on the journey back to you. I wish you all the best and shout out to Phil's writing! Seriously though thank you to the ABG crew you always handle conversations lovingly whether it's with guests or each other. That's why I've been a listener since the introduction on Wong Fu's Lunch Break, even though I am neither an A, B or G I always can relate to you guys on a human level, thanks.
Yay for having Cathy back on the podcast!!! I loved hearing this vulnerable episode. Cathy is truly amazing and opened up so much about everything. Sending everyone lots of love! ❤
Thanks for having Cathy on your show!!! She’s so raw and real. We need more asian empowering women respresenting in our society. Thank You AsianBossGirl 😍!!!
Thank you for sharing Cathy ♥️ So empowering to hear your story of prioritizing yourself and Isla and loving yourself during this process. You are an amazing person and mom!
Thank you for sharing you story Cathy and thank you ABG for providing the platform to have this important story shared❤
definitely became teary eyed from being so proud of you Cathy and how inspiring you are!
Being a single mom and having gone through a divorce, i just want to say thank you cathy for sharing and making someone out there feel just a little less alone. i could tell how honest you're being and i truly wish you the best.
So proud of you Cathy for choosing yourself!!! It wasn’t easy but what you did most people would not do. You will be so blessed!!!
You're so inspiring Cathy!
Love this vulnerability of this podcast Cathy. Do what best for you and your daughter Isla. ❤😘
Thanks for sharing this. I also separated from a decade old relationship and this has helped me cope/process along with Cathy.
Thank you for posting this! As someone also newly divorced and my Chinese family not talking about it, this podcast episode makes me feel seen.
Came here for Cathy. Love you and thanks ladies.
Would love to hear you interview Clara C about divorce too!
You can be strong AND cry AND be vulnerable AND sad
Sending lots of love to Cathy and Ayla ~ ❤ thank you for sharing your journey and struggles.

always thought that cathy's story inspired strangers never again's plotline! it must have been so hard for cathy to have acted in that role and to watch it after it came out
Cathy, Thanks for sharing your story!
As a new single mom in a co-parenting situation, I needed to hear this episode
awesome episode, I think with more guests I’d like to hear more open ended questions
Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable
This was a very vulnerable, brave discussion, handled with grace. Thank you for covering the topic and thank you Cathy for sharing. Crazy how it coincided with the promotion cycle for Strangers Never Again.
Love this honest podcast ❤
Great questions, ABG, and loved the episode ❤️🫶🏼
Dear Cathy I’m sorry that happened to you. I’ll be praying for you and your daughter! Stay strong sister
I sometimes feel so sad and alone since I'm single & just got out of a long term relationship. But after seeing all these break ups and divorces just makes me appreciate my single life alot more. Just cuz u thought someone has it all they really dont. 😢😢

Easy to say. But eventually need to let it go and grateful what you have. Tough one but wish Cathy well
Guys, get those prenuptual agreements signed and sealed before you leap out. Also, transfer assets and property out of your name just in case.
She doesn't need to find a husband by then, but it'll be a great experience for her I think!

Uh no. A spouse shouldn't be an "experience" to have. It's a commitment and sacrifice among long-term partners. Plus half of married people are gonna get divorced anyway so...

Being married is still an experience, no matter how long it lasts. Everything you do in life is an experience. There is no time frame for any experiences. @@ADifferentVibe

I would guess her husband cheated by listening to this
Hoping the next husband won’t cheat on you, word of advice find one outside the medical field this time, it’s risky.
I was kinda disappointed in this video. Was really looking forward to hearing her personal experience and insight but she answered all the questions so vaguely and seemed closed off. Feels like every question was deflected. The hosts did a wonderful job though - they actually drove the conversation and shared more. I get that it’s hard and she needs time to process, but maybe don’t go on a podcast where they ask questions on this specific topic? No hate on Cathy, been a follower of hers for a long time. Just a comment.

Not sure why people constantly feel the need to know exact details of divorce for their own personal interest. Knowing well enough that knowledge goes no where for y’all
@Mallika99
Жыл бұрын
@@sweetbabygirl97 I think it isn’t about wanting to know all the details but more about the fact that the questions and overall topic of the podcast episode seemed geared towards getting all the details. It could have been focused on something else as well. Loved the episode nevertheless and the ABG hosts did a wonderful job! I also do respect Cathy’s boundaries and how she stuck by them.

Especially when they start off the episode with a wine called "Truth and Valor", it's kind of setting up the tone of the episode. LOL. Just sayin'...

@@puffpuffin1agree. She can put whatever boundaries she feels comfortable but in a podcast where it's about a topic and they're not discussing it in depth as advertised, it's a bit misleading. The point is to not mislead people away and still be respectful. They don't have to separate both topics.
That's what parents in this new age say, then the kids become TEENS, and then all that talk goes out the window, and you have to relearn how to parent. Good luck.

This was kind of boring. 😬
@ADifferentVibe
Жыл бұрын
sadly, yes. They danced around the issues of the divorce. It was more like "yeah I got divorced, it is tough, but I am brave and the general public doesn't need to know details". Ok.....
This is sad. You put your kid at risk of all sorts of problems by getting divorced all because you 2 were too selfish and prideful to hash things out. Marriage is a commitment not something you can toss aside like some old clothes. What's the point of wedding vows if you're not gonna keep them. I don't feel sorry for Cathy at all, but I do feel sorry for her daughter Isla. Marriage in the modern context is a joke now.

obviously you didnt watch the whole video to understand how she had to come to that decision. Theres relationships that need work and theres relationships that just dont work. Im sure Isla would rather be in a separate home than live in a broken home. Without hearing her story or having any context and you already leave a comment like this, its just full of ignorance.

She even said it herself. She divorced to make herself happy, not if her daughter is happy.
@tiffuhnie

@@Starrynova again, not all relationships can be fixed. Staying in a broken relationship just for the sake of keeping the family together isnt the right choice. Any kids would rather be in a separate home than in a broken home where they see their parents are unhappy and no longer love each other.
