It’s good to know that we don’t have to pray for the evil people in our life, because it creates an (unwanted) karmic connection. I always feel this guilt during prayer that I have to pray for them, but now I know it isn’t so!

I don't believe that. I have prayed for people once , and then gave it to God. And it might have taken a long time. But I have seen miraculous changes in family . I don't think you should repeatedly pray for them . Because that is not faith. You pray once and let God handle it. Which will not keep them on your mind. If you feel guilty it because you are carrying a grudge. Remember even the wisest teachers aren't right every time. We still need to use rational thought and judgment.

Agree. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of befriending and praying for someone as she describes. It does cause a connection that will make you suffer needlessly. What a refreshing take on dealing with this type of person.

I have been doing this. I won't do it anymore. I have been praying for old friends and connections that I parted ways with. Now I know why energy goes low

imagine if the light beings ran from the suicide people because they were "negative"? you run away when youre not in a higher place yourself. also donald walters identified people with opinions different from his as carriers of "negative energy" and therefore despised democracy in community

❤I believe that people of profound goodwill have the ability to recognize one another. There may be people within our own church who are evil, committed to destruction and very much "in love" w/ their "beautiful wickedness" (wizard of oz). On the other hand, there are people of various religions, culturally and theologucally different, but who are in love with Uncreated Light and struggling toward understanding wisdom and Divine truth. Such people who seek God with their whole being are in love w the Light and will recognize each other ❤ What about wolves in sheep's clothing. Well, perhaps not always, but the wolves are proud of their wockedness and ler the mask slip. We will see them too for who and what they are.

I’m wondering about how people like Navalny fit into this framework. How do self-sacrifice and personal courage work with the idea that we must run from evil? He did the opposite knowing he faced certain death and there are many throughout history who did the same. Perhaps I’m misunderstanding the exhortation to run from evil or missing some subtleties?

I think there is a limit on the self-sacrifice way of living, like Asha said before, there are some people that won't understand because they are not there yet, they are learning and will get there but they have to pass through that and i think we need to learn to tell when is time for self sacrifice out of compassion, like giving the other cheek kind of thing i wouls say 😅, and when is time to run from evil because there is no point and may deplete you. This is what i got from the talk tho i am of course biased. Personal courage always, including the times you need to run from evil, courage to humble before what it is 😊. Namaste 🙏

We can know our consciousness by observing our thoughts, feelings, and actions, and by comparing them with the ideals of truth, love, joy, and peace. The more we align ourselves with these ideals, the more we expand our consciousness and experience our true nature as souls. We can also know our consciousness by meditating regularly and tuning in to the inner light and sound that emanate from the spiritual eye, the center of intuition and higher guidance.
