Rafi Saab was his favourite singer it's ok. But opposing Kishore Kumar's name for the award was too much. Not a trained singer is not a crime. He had natural talent, and one must accept it.

Who cares whether Naushad liked Kishore da or not. He ruled over the bollywood musical industry from 1969 till his death in 1987. He was the highest paid male playback singer. He used to charge more than Lata ji. His range of music was great. Can anyone match him? I have doubts.

@@srpr2448 rafi was nothing compared to KK, if you compare them with respect to the same songs sang by them it was always KK's version that outclassed rafi's version, songs like tum bin jau kahan, jaanu meri Jaan and many others are examples of that.

I'm really surprised and kind of hurt too because Kishore Kumar wasn't just famous in India we in Pakistan are absolutely crazy about Kishore Kumar in fact I personally believe India hasn't produced anything close to Kishore yet ...we are still waiting..😊❤️

When without any formal training the man created history, imagine what would have been the scene if he was trained like Rafi Sahab or Manna Dey. Pandit Jasraj a towering figure in classical vocal field was amazed to hear how Kishore Da sang "Kuch toh log kahenge" based on raag Khamaaj with ease. He even went on to say it is good Kishore is not trained in classical singing. Had he got that no one would have listened to us. I feel that statement is enough to admit that Kishore Da was a genius, a natural singer, a man endowed with the pure male voice.

I do not know whether Kishore Kumar has any song(recorded) like " Naach re moyiura" sang by Manna Dey or "Madhuban me naa chere" sang by Md. Rafi and so many like classical songs sang by these two maestro but, I still believe without any hesitation that Kishore Kumar, inspite of having no classical training from his birth, he was one of the top singer the country has ever produced and will remain with great honour & respect in our mind so long the music world play its roll as usually. I also acknowledge that we, the common people, have no such power or position to judge or compare the distinguished persons

He could sing any and every type of song..so so should he be considered better than Mohd Rafi!!! There are so many songs that are based on Rags and sung by Kishore like Mere naina sawan bhaado..so if he doesn't know classical music then how could he sing that!!!

The legends of those times were a little quirky, I suppose. Naushad not using Kishore, OP Nayyar not using Lata nor Rafi(later on), Lata refusing to sing for SD and later for SJ-- these guys deprived us of some fantastic experiences. Sad, indeed !

Us Naushad Miya ko is naye generation jante bhi nhi lekin Kishore Kumar ki popularity abhi bhi barkarar hai aur rahega bhi..

Why kishore kumar is often called " Crow Voiced"... May be his quality of Sound.... Every body has the Right to choose Singers according to their choice. Ofcourse Noushad Ali is the best Music Director, the Indian cinema has ever seen. Actually Kishore Kumar is suited to Sing Comic , vulgar songs. Only few songs are noted to prove his mettle as a Singer. Actually he was a Crooner.

Naushad was a great music director. Kishore was a naturally gifted singer- one of the best ever. It’s unfortunate that Naushad couldn’t recognise this.

No less than Pt Bhimsen Joshi has said that ma sarawasti has blessed Kishore and commented that such a blessed person did the correct thing by not coming into Classical singing where he wd hv made great name for himself. It is said that Ptji was listening to kuch to log kahenge and was super impressed. Hence no one requires the biased views of Naushad. SDB has given much more to Hindi music and as per his Understanding used Kishore in several movies. Kishoreji is the all rounder of hindi film music. Not using kishore is Naushad's loss and not that of Kishore

Kishore Kumar a fabulous and memorable singer. He was a gift of Maa Saraswati to us.

I dont know how far this is true.However there are many such examples, I E. O P.Nayar never booked Lata for any movie. Here in Pakistan our famous legendary music director Robin Gosh,never booked Madam Noorjehan. There might be many more example like that.

Nausad Mia was angry that Kishore Kumar replaced Rafi.... This was the main reason

I sometimes think there's a similarly between Kishore Kumar and Ms dhoni, people first doubted their technical ability...after few years they realised these two are god gifted.

I use to hear Kishoreji's songs daily without fail. Kishoreji is my favourite singer🙏🙏

I am learning music and I can clearly see that Kishore songs are relatively much simpler as comparedto MD Rafi. But the fact is he sang a number of popular and timeless songs. He is indeed one of the greatest singers. Technically difficult or complicated singing doesn't necessarily mean people would like or relate to your songs

Naushd must understand that even Music composers masteros like SD burman liked and appriciated KK, Naushad is ZERO in front of S D Burmans .

All of Pakistan and India listens to Kishore Kumars voice every day even after decades of kk death, kk is truly alive in our hearts,

Kishore was already trained by the Almighty before he was born. He had such an amazing voice, and sang so many great 's songs with such great passion emotions and feel. He was unparalleled. I'm sure actors of those days would be incomplete without his songs.

It's not a comparison. Comparison would be talking about Kishoreda n Rafi Saheb. Naushaad did not like KK for another reason. Naushad, when asked in a press conference, as to why he did not ask KK to sing for him, said that KK is not a singer. In response to this, Kishoreda calls a press conference and asks the reporters to ask him why he never sang for Naushad. When they did, he said "... because Naushad is not a music director... ". He further goes to point out a mistake in the Naushad composed song 'Dhundo dhundo re saajanaa'. He showed how the song went off beat after a certain point in the mukhda itself. The theka n sam were off in the second half of the mukhda. Kishoreda didn't stop with this. The naughty fellow that he was, he further troubled Naushad by calling him early mornings just to ask him if he found the missing beat.... "Sam mila kya?" This continued for a couple of months n KK stopped only after Naushad requested SD Burmanda to intervene. Only Kishoreda could have done this!

today very few know naushad & definately cannot recognise him from his photo.but every one knows kishor da & his songs. thus making him immortal.

It was wrong to say that naushad hate KK .As a musician he never confess in his life that he hated KK . In one of his interviews he even praise him openly.

I had lots of respect for Nausad because he is among those great music directors but if he used to hate Kishor Kumar or any other singer, it makes him a small person (Chhota Insan). Kishor Kumar probably an untrained singer but he was a gifted and multi-telanted individual. Nausad had great knowledge of music then Kishor was not only a great singer but he was a good actor with excellent comedy talent. He was a director, writer, and music director. Kishor Kumar had took place in millions of hearts due to his talent. He doesn't need certificate from Nausad Saheb.

I didn't take a liking to Naushads music. During those days it's quite true that you needed a lot of musicians who played a lot of musical instruments , to get a good music score. But I somehow felt that Naushads music suited more to Opera Theatres of that era. With his hand actions he reminded me of Zubin Mehta. I love Madan Mohans music better. Too bad this great musician didn't get the fame, name and prestige that was his due.

I understand Dilipji wanted Naushad as Music Director, Shakeel Badauni as lyricist and Rafi saheb as his voice for the 1974 movie Sagina. Director Tapan Sinha did not agree and persuaded him to accept SD Burman Da as music director and Kishore da as his voice. The movie had Marvellous music(Tumre sang to rain bitayi, Sala Maito Sahib ban Gaya etc) So these senior great people be they actors or from other trades of the industry need not necessarily be right.

It's ok. You can't please everybody. Same way Kishoreda couldn't please everybody. After 50 years Kishore still rules hearts...Naushad Saab is also there...but not so close to heart. He never updated himself 😊

I think this is an exaggeration. Many music directors had their likes and dislikes. For instance OPNayyar never used Lata Mangeshkar for any of his compositions. Salil Choudhary didn’t like Rafi. Naushads music had a classical base which required a good range in voice. I love Kishore kumar songs and Rafi songs. But I know that Rafi has an amazing range. Kishoreda himself has often acknowledged Rafi Saabs singing skills. You can search for Kishore’s version of man re tu Kahe na Dheer dhare on KZread and see how he struggles in his rendition.

Please listen to all the songs sang by rafi saab n Kishorda togther or sang same song and be honest and make judgment without prejudice who had edge over who ? Just example zindagi ek safar hai suhana - Tum bin jaao kha

Naushad was not versatile composer. He was confined to classical music only. So Kishore Kumar could not have fitted into his frame. In contrast SD Burman had wide range. So he used both Kishore and Rafi beautifully in his songs.

I know Naushad but the current generation does not know of him. Kishore kumar will be known for eons. There is a long list of people who were shocked that an untrained singer sang better than Rafi and in many cases Lata. Kishore da connects with our soul better than any other singer. Kishore da and jagjit singh made music accessible to common people and destroyed the monopoly of trained musicians and trained listeners on music.

If he hated untrained singer, why he had encouraged samsadh begum and other. Classical singing is just a genre. There are lakhs of trained singers in India, so it's not a big deal. You need some Xfactor to reach the level of kishorda. The reason of hatred is something else

Kishorda was an inborn talent. Sometimes, the formal requirements should be sidelined for the exceptional talents and Kishorda was a master of tremendous qualities. I love Kishorda and his acting and singing. I also respect Naushad Sahab but I think Naushad Sahab should have given opportunity to Kishorda...but the legends also have pride n prejudice.

With due respect to Naushad Sahab that treatment towards Kishore da was and still is reprehensible. Yes, you are right, sir. As someone enlightened had once said if there is anyone whom the world literally adores because of their certain talent or qualities know for sure it is a manifestation of the divine. It was the manifestation of Maa Saraswati ji in Kishore da. Engaging in such behaviour with Kishore da would never be pardoned by his millions of followers. But still, as the saying goes, such was his talent that it did not need a certain hater to keep Kishore da away from success. That behaviour was immaturity at its very best.

The reason is, according to principles of good behaviour, no one should judge another person to that extent so as to be of direct or indirect discrimination. Discrimination is a menace. It is a heinous thing. One can have personal dislike towards someone else. But that should not be brought out in the open. Even the Divine doesn't pardon such a felony. With due respect to Naushad ji, if there is any truth to the story, we don't know what transpired actually, but if it had really happened the way it was said it did, then even you know, sir, that discrimination is a heinous and felonious crime. After all, it is not without reason that discrimination gets reprimanded severely by all courts on earth.

किशोर कुमार जी के गाये गीत बहुत ही खुबसुरत हैं लेकिन किशोर कुमार जी शास्त्रीय संगीत में ज्यादा निपूण नहीं थें और नोशाद साहब जी अपने संगीत में शास्त्रीय संगीत को शामिल करते थे वो रागो पर ध्यान देते थे नोशाद साहब नें अपने द्वारा दिये गयें संगीत में सभी देव रागो को शामिल करके संगीत दिया और इन रागो में जो महारथ हासिल थी वो थी मन्ना डे , लता जी , और रफ़ी साहब को, कृपा आपसे निवेदन हैं कि ऐसे महान संगीतकार के विषय में ऐसी भ्रांति ना फेलाऐ। जो आपने कहां वो सच हो सकती हैं लेकिन उसका कोई दुसरी पहलू भी हो सकता हैं।

ऐसी बात नहीं है. ये बात सच है की किशोरदा Trend Singer नहीं थे लेकीन गानेके शब्द और सिच्युएशन भली भाती जानते थे. ईस बारेमे मै S.D. Burman का वाकिया देता हूं पैहले किशोरदा सैगलकी आवाज मे गाना गाते थे लेकीन ऊन्हे किशोरकी गायकी को पहचान लिया था और ऊन्हे अपने आवाज में गानेके लिये मजबुर किया बादमें सब ईतिहास गवा है. सचिनदा भी शास्त्रीय संगीत के जानकार थे. किशोरदा का आ चल के तुझे मै लेके चलु गाना ईसकी मिसाल है. किशोरदा की yaudling कोई भी नही कर सकता. ऐसा ही वाकिया लता और किशोरदा duet same wording male and female But जादा popular किशोरदा का हुआ. ईस गानेको पहले इन्कार किया था लेकीन मै गाऊंगा ईस शर्त पर पहिले दीदी गायेगी बाद में मै. किशोरदा जब famous singer बने तब उन्हे लता से भी जादा पैसे मिल सकते थे लेकीन किशोरदा ने लता सन्मान करते हुए producer से कहां मै दीदी से बडा हो नहीं सकता इसलीये दीदी से एक रुपया कम लुंगा. ऐसे थे किशोरदा LEGEND 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Nousad was much fond of Mohammad Rafi and made most of his songs sung by Rafi. In 70s Md Rafi was faded away by Kishor Kumar and thus Nousad had got another defeat from Kishor Kumar.

It is sad.if you dislike or even hate someone, distance yourself.but generally, people doesn't express publicly.as both are stalwart in their field,but this act by naushad, makes him dwarf against kishorda.

I do not agree with Naushad Sahib, Coming to know of his hatred, I'm compelled to say that he hated a legendary singer which was totally unjustified, May be Kishore Da did not take a formal education of music, but there's no denial of the fact that his singing was superb, Moreover, all other music directors, who acknowledged Kishore Da, were not insane, And Naushad ji was not the only music director who could compose good songs, Kishore Da was the starter of the fast singing and he could better cope with the Hindi-Western music of those times, I salute to Kishore Da, Above all, I'm thankful to YOU for bringing this fact to us,
