Yeah feels wrong reducing psychedelics by representing them through pop music a teenage girl would enjoy, with the lyrics and style of the song making them seem like a silly casual/chill party drug. Especially coming from a performer who has a mix of very cliche hippie crossed with an egirl, it feels like commercial mainstream advertisement of psychedelics aimed at young teenagers. Strips the depth and commodifies things for the sake of mass appeal. Even her look seems like a costume that will make impressionable teens want to dress and act like a hippie out of imitation/trend following, something cosmetic without deeper thought. Like how punk subculture went from something more ideological and no strictly defined look to a hollow, homogenous image without the ideals that can be easily sold to the mainstream public. Diluting the subculture to having to conform to wearing the right costume without the ideals, philosophy or freedom that used to define punk. Psychedelic culture shouldnt be something sanitised and simplified to be easy to digest by the mainstream plus one cliche image to conform to. It just draws people to it for the wrong reasons and allows it to be turned into a simple commodity that can be sold to the public simply for money as well as subvert any deeper meaning by having people associate it with the santised radio-friendly commercial idea of what psychedelics and the people who use them should be like. The more you try define it the less freedom it has, the less possibility it can have to mean anything and be used by anyone. Just look at the groupthink and conformity in the current psychedelic culture and the failure of the hippie movement once it developed a standard appearance and set of beliefs. It just allows for subversion and a cult-like mentality to form when these things happen.

Why do people who grew up rich want to pretend to be poor? Doesn’t your dad work for like Lockheed Martin or something? 🤔 When I was in middle school, My nickname was “Stink” because my power would go out, or my hot-water would go out, and I couldn’t do laundry/take showers til we had enough money to get them turned back on…… We used to eat ramen noodles with cut up hot dogs, or ground beef with ketchup on it…. We had gunshots going off right down the street or in the alleys most nights. Also, I have dreadlocks because thats literally how my hair grows out of my head. When it gets past a certain point/length, I literally cannot run a brush through it. So I have to either cut it, or let it lock up. I don’t have no “daddy’s money”… I’ve been working since I was 15 years old. Everything from hard labor, building stages, landscaping, to movie theaters, restaurants, car washes, random odd jobs, I’ve probably had well over 20 different jobs in the last 12 years. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for the last 4-5 years. It must be nice to just be a “woo-woo crystal bonghead” and F around all day, every day

Dude, at 33 I feel so much pride to be unashamed to proclaim my faith in Jesus. I feel like a warrior for GOD who stands strong from temptation, and ignore these little weirdos who try to tell me that they are "enlightened." Dude we were all teenagers once, nobody stays doing acid their whole life, it's a phase. She's going to look back at herself like this one day and cringe. Giving into Satan just means you are weak in the spirit. Acid and mushrooms don't do ANYTHING except keep you unemployed. I bet her dreadlocks stink too.

When I met my boyfriend he told me he was spiritual and typically went after spiritual girls and this girl is exactly what I imagined he meant 😂 luckily he was ready to move on from the stereotype. I even turned spiritual after having an awakening around the time we met…had nothing to do with drugs. And I still look like I shower.
