Natural and Reverse Fleckerls in Viennese Waltz / Ballroom Dance
The Viennese Waltz as we it today is the classic and original waltz. Basic figures are Natural Tun, Reverse Turn and Change steps. The Fleckerl is attractive but more difficult figure, is quite different from the Standing Spin used in Slow Waltz. Would you like to learn Fleckerl?

He explains it without any fuss. It’s very tricky but he does explain it well from a male to a female dancer + plus the heel to ball of the foot. I will keep watching his video. Thanks.
分かりやすいです。❤
An excellent teacher. I will watch again.
Simply explained & why we will improve because he’s excellent. Thanks.
This is the best explanation of fleckerls I come across. Very clear, very useful, thank you very much.

thanks for explaining fleckerl in details
very good explanation it's a dance i love very much i am from barbados.
I learned doing them the other way, first fleckerl, then reverse - but this feels more natural in the movement and I’m definitely sending this video to my partner. Thanks!

Super!!!
This helps so much with helping to 'demystify' this Gold level figure. It also helps to understand how the various figures fit together to form the amalgamations.

Wow, one of the best explanations and carefully thought out demonstrations of learning the flekeral I have seen. I have already shown this to some dance friends in Melbourne, Australia, and they wish you were their teacher! I watch the Latvian dancers on you tube and can understand why they are so good with teachers of your quality to learn from.

Kevin, thanks for suggestion. Thaks for suggestion. I dont know exactly what is requited for social dance test in ISTD Viennese waltz, but I alredy have video about simple way for beginners to learn Natural Turns and Reverse Turns kzread.info/dash/bejne/gHiZ0Lxqoqucd7g.html
Thank you for the excellent lesson. Is there a reason why there is a heel lead in the natural but not in the reverse? I find the heel lead awkward to execute (as a follower).

Thanks Stella for your question. I think the reason of Lady’s heel lead on first step of Natural Fleckerl is quite big step around Man.
Love the video but can you tell me what the music is called that you Play to accompany the Viennese waltz to learn the Fleckeral I just love it Thank you

I used to think that the step count for waltz was only 123-123. I see that you also count 223 and 423 and I would like to learn the theory behind this. Please point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Thanks Rene for interesting question. If you count beats in bar - 123. If you count bars and beats - 123 (first bar), 223 (second bar), 323 (third bar), 423 (fourth bar) and so on. Bars in music form phrases. Hope it helps.
