3 Tips for 2022:
So a buddy of mine reached out to me for the 2021 contest, and I gave him some tips, and would you believe he won the 2021 Natty Stories contest!!! So in keeping to the promise of my own video, I wanted to share that information with you guys, of what I believe you need to win this contest.
1. READ THE RULES - So many people get disqualified for not following the rules, and this one was key - All eligible Entries will be judged based on the following judging criteria by an independent panel of judges selected by Sponsor. The Judging Criteria includes: Brand Voice (video personifies Natural Light lifestyle spontaneous, fun and irreverent) Creativity, Originality, Relevance to the Contest theme of "showing us what inspired you to go to college" - Nothing more to add, as this rule was the foundation of my 2020 video, and I basically thought "What would my Natty Light commercial look like"???
2. TELL YOUR STORY WITH A STORY - Don't just sit there and talk about your story, share it in a spontaneous, fun, and creatively irreverent way that would make Natural Light proud to hand over $40,000 dollars to you. My buddy Greg told his story by playing out multiple scenes from different hit movies... it was genius. Also, take the story from Past (why you have student debt) to the Present (what pressures that debt is causing you now) and then Future (how paying off that debt would change your life for the better)
3. DONT GIVE UP - I did not win on my first try/entry, and neither did my buddy, but both of us won the second time around. So if you have an idea, and a passion to get some relief from your student loans, keep trying for as long as Natural Light offers the program. It is real, and they do send you a check (that you have to off course pay taxes on... lol) but still, a taxed check is better than no check.
