As an artist who hasn't "Made it," there's always the temptation to water down creatively and make things shorter/more "Mainstream." I decided not to give that that temptation any power on this one. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more underrated artist. Show me another artist that sings with the amount of emotion from the heartbreak of millions of people. Writes the way he does. There's actually a bunch. But I'm not giving all my secret artists away. Being underrated makes them produce more authentic music. Once an artist has a sudden spike in ratings its all downhill. Better to have a slow and steady progression. Nathan will make it one day. He just has to stay away from labels that will turn his raw sound into something for the masses.✌

No. Music should just sound good. If someone wants a meaning behind the lyrics, they should listen to music with meaning behind the lyrics. Why do you think there are so many music genres?

This song is literally about my brother dying but because he is going to Heaven, everything will be alright. (More than alright) He wrote a song almost a decade ago now from the perspective of our father just giving us his last pieces of wisdom, which were to love Jesus and one day we would join him in Our Permanent Home. I get chills thinking about the context of each. We’re listening to the premiere of Nevaeh right now and it’s having me reflect on how far Nathan’s come. I’m mind blown. I’m speechless in the room right now but have had chills throughout the entire song. I pray we sing this song in Heaven. I had chills as I wrote that

What strikes me is, I don't know that it necessarily is any particular quality of his voice; rather, his voice is beautiful because of the emotion behind it. He crafts each song from his own heart, and he has the gift of projecting that to those who listen. Because of that, it would be impossible not to hear the beauty in his work, even if his voice was terrible. I mean, it's NOT, but like hypothetically.

I'm a senior who doesn't know what I want to do with my life and I have only so much time to decide. I'm a Christian but I've been having doubts and I had no idea what I was thinking or doing. You know what? Don't put so much pressure on yourself to go to college and all. I mean an education is important, but our society has used it as a way to control people byt peer pressuring young people into the form that they'll amount to nothing if they don't have a college education or don't know what they want to do with their entire life at 18 years old. I have had some of the same experiences. People look at you in disappointment when you don't know what you want to do with your life but that's not for them to decide. You do you. Pray about it, ask God to show you the path and if that path doesn't involve some Master's degree then so be it. Just take your time. :)

Stephanie Scott I agree. I hate the idea of spending an extra 4 years plus in college but I think my parents are going to make me. I kind of have to because I don’t know what I want to do with myself on Earth other than just praise God. Praising God will always be apart of me. I hate that society try’s to label you based on your grades, if you go to college, things like that. Because of that, last year I had anxiety and depression. God broke that though, and I’ve been more faithful then ever. It’s even worse that I’m thinking about this when I’m not even a freshman in high school yet. I’ll be a freshman next year in a very competitive marching band. I’m worried my grades that are pretty much all A’s (I have a B in Algebra) will drop to C’s and B’ or worse. The only thing keeping me positive is God, and that is my main focus right now. I’m happy because of God.😊

I like to think that 'Don't forget me' is about someone who is dying in a hospital with their partner by their side which in the end he dies hence the heartbeat fading away. Ascension is when he makes his way to Heaven and arrives there And Joy is when he is waiting for his partner and reunite with them, so he thanks God for bringing them together once more, this time, inseparable I really loved this masterpiece. I only listen to this song every few months because it's my absolute favorite, it always makes me cry hard, and I never want it to lose its effect. I randomly out of nowhere decided to listen to it tonight and after a few seconds of listening, I felt like I should stop and check my phone. I had a text from a new friend that I do not know too too much about just yet. They said something was on their mind and they wanted to talk. I asked what was up and they shied away not wanting to bother me. I persisted and eventually gave up because it was clear they didn't want to talk. I said "Alrighttt. I'm gonna go listen to my favorite song that I only listen to every few months because it always makes me cry." She texts back, "What song?" I say, "Not trying to self promo but it's a song called Nevaeh by my brother." She started to listen to it and after a few minutes she told me that it was the four year anniversary of her suicide attempt. She said it brought her along an insanely beautiful journey, it made her cry and feel so many emotions that she had been feeling. I really don't believe in coincidences. This timing was too perfect. Jesus is Lord.

My best friend died this morning. I still can't believe it and lock myself up in my room, crying over him. Wishing that this is just a nightmare. But it's the reality. I needed this song more than words can say. My brother's body was found on March 8th. I've had to be strong for everyone but couldn't really do so for myself. The first time I listened to it, I was finally able to say goodbye and cry. This song has helped me with coping. In the third part I cry from happiness. He's with the God he loved so fiercely. I just have to comment on this song.. it is hands down one of those special pieces of music that is guaranteed to make me cry every time. Both mournful and joyful tears. It's so healing because sometimes I find emotion just builds up inside me and I have a hard time expressing it but something about this long version of the track takes me on a journey whenever I listen to it and by the end I have such a better outlook. You know. I have a certain story in mind, with my own characters. (I'd love to create a comic with them, but I'm bad at art, but I really think it rather fits a comic than a story to read) I'm still creating the story, the characters etc. and there's a thing I love: Making them relate to a song. Making me think "Hey, maybe this could fit Character x!" and that's kinda how I build my story. So..why am I saying this? "You're the worlds most extravagant girl. I just can't understand. I'm a time bomb that's ticking away, still you're holding my hand." That line..it made me wanna fit my characters backstory to this. Him being sick, having not long to live. You're really such an inspiration and I wish you would get more and more people that could listen to you, because that's what you deserve. Your music tells a story, it conveys your emotions/emotions in general just so perfect. You're a musician but also a storyteller, aren't you? Thank you for inspiring me with your music. Seriously. I always find little lines that I wanna create a story too - that I think characters would fit. I think it's amazing that you can unite people that feel the same way, you know? Your music really is a blessing.

Do NOT GIVE UP!! you can draw. You have the potential to do anything you put your mind to and that you love. for so long i felt like i wasn’t good enough at art and drawing because my younger sister took all that attention. And I gave up. But your art is YOURS a reflection of who you are and can be. keep practicing. Look up art to learn. I use Pinterest to find how to draw hands and feet which are super challenging but I am getting the hang of it. You can too :) don’t give up .

Ohh damn can't wait another song coming in 19 minutes wish I could time travel to hear it right away

I have no words to describe the emotions this brought forth. As much as the beginning of the song feels so full of melancholy, it holds a touch of hope that just resonates through the rest of it. I can't even begin to say how much I love this and your other works. They just stir a need to connect and to love other people and to listen to their stories.
