I did not see 'Dear Evan Hansen', I've never even heard the song before, but I'm lying on my bed, crying like a baby beacause of the amount of emotions portrayed by the amazing voice and facial expressions of the one and only Natalie Weiss fused with the powerful lyrics. @@JYRound I'd like to add not pushing from your throat because that would damage your voice. Instead push from your stomach, we say diaphragm but you feel it in your belly!

Mixed voice can still be belt. Belt doesn't have to be full chest. High belts are almost always mixed voice

Just really watch Natalie to see what she does and tells her pupils. She is awesome. But do remember that you can't make your voice do what it isn't built for. Love your own voice as it is unique to you.

honestly dude, belting is just a really strong mix. but try pressing down on your nose as you go higher! trust me, it helps! and remember that it take time to develop a higher belt. just keep practicing :)

please visit a voice coach as that's the only way to improve safely. It all depends on what you're doing with your larynx and vocal tract. You will get a hundred different methods from people saying what worked for them but that's not you. Good luck!
