An older homie asked if I had heard a cat from NY named Nas. I hadn't. We jumped into his ride and BOOM...this brother's music has been with me since then. Through my growth and setbacks. My good. Love this man so much. Bought his tickets to the Royalty tour in the Woodlands/Houston Texas. I was 18 and broke but I couldn’t sell or giveaway my tickets. I love that man. As ignorant as this may sound, Nas basically raised me. Father wasn’t around so he was a father figure to me. Each album was like a map, a guide or like a bible to me. Everything in his music resonated with me living in NY. I never rated his albums because like I said they were maps, filled with knowledge. Some people learn visually. As long as they come around is what's important. I loved it immediately.

Everything, this was the first song that showed up on my youtube one day and out of no where. I never seen it on KZread feed before. It was after my 13 year old sons passing unexpectedly on july 4th 2019... I couldn't watch tv nothing. Just sit in shock and pain and cry. A couple weeks later I finally turned tv on KZread. Educational, inspirational, opinionated. Nas is more than a rapper, he should be recognised as an African, humanity, black consciousness scholar without the formal education

Keeping my composure whilst watching/listening to this is a task, especially the first track. This is Gold. GOLD!

Nas is one of the greatest rappers of all-time and this was well done. His contributions to Hip Hop are second to none and should always be acknowledged.

Nas is truly the greatest lyricist and mc of all all time. I'm from Bmore and i remember back in 94 I used to not even really listen to hip hop much. Because i felt it was not alot of substance in music that I think and rock too until Nas came with illmatic. I have been a fan ever since. True Nas fan! He should get the same if not more props that Jay Z gets but people like to dislike truth. But fuck it Nas the best!

GB JR I’ve went back and forth for years dawg between hov and nas on who the best ever(and biggie but he wasn’t hear long enough unfortunately)I gotta give nas the nod as far as my favorite ever. As far as a mc he’s unmatched period he has substance and most importantly he’s very smart.
