A Genius Leaves The Hood: The Unauthorized Story of Jay-Z (Full Documentary Film)

A Genius Leaves The Hood: The Unauthorized Story of Jay Z uncovers the price Mr. Carter paid for his success through recent controversies including the racial debate of the Barneys deal, feud with Harry Belafonte and clashes with community activists over the construction of the Barclay Center. The film also explores rumors of association with the Illuminati, a highly publicized separation from the Roc-A-Fella crew, his estranged relationship with rapping mentor Jaz-O and break up with business partner Damon Dash.

Jay Z separated himself from people who weren’t on the same mindset as him, who was reluctant to evolve, who didn’t want to take business risk’s & who kept a lot of drama going. I don’t blame him for that. These guys keep talking about what happened 20 sums years ago. Cherish the memories, wish him well & move on🙏🏾

Jay z has always been my favorite rapper and moat likely will always be. I cant say i agree with everything he says, puts out or that he has done ( in and out of the music biz) but the bottomline is that he litterally talked about exactly what he did and made it to where he said he would be. And yeah alot of relationshios went "bad" ties were cut and some people may or may not have been played out they position but in the game of life , thats always gonna happen. As a fan and someone who respected the whole rocafwlla movement i wish him and dame didnt end up how they did but it happemed for a reason. I dont believe dame should take all the blame or be the only one who gets the "hate" on that situation. Jay z def did his part and probly shoukd have or could have been more up front but then again the people outside that circle dont know exactly what hapoened or why certain decisions were made. Of cpurse everyone ( myself included) tries to make it make sense and throws in certain narratives but in the end its between dame and jay and they know what happened and why. For me though i dont care why. Im just glad they met, im glad i was there from the start of rocafella to ita unfortunate demise. Those were dope times in hiphop and that dynasty album was the illest album that had all the labels artist on it and every track was fire. Jay z and dame, the roc in general gave crazy opportunities to artists like beanie, freeway, young guns, peedi crack, etc. And it sucks that those artists( who are still dope to me right now) basically dropped the ball and didnt put everything they had into thier own careers. They seem to be happy just going for the ride instead of taking the wheel. So many people are quick to blame jay for where they are now but they have the talent they just need to step up.. when its qll said and done its clear jay chose to make smart moves for the long run rather then quick moves that wouldnt last. Cant knock the hustle

i find it interesting.. that the narrative running in this video's portrayal of Jay Z, continuously heaped negatives on this man, and tried to find fault in him separating himself from certain elements.. while at the same time showing those elements (and people involved) were backstabbing him.. it's happened before.. where the main element had to walk out the door (like Dr. Dre at Death Row), so they could grow. Then the same hood that ain't feeling that.. want's to know what you're going to do to give back. While they dish sh!t, showing the wish they could still have that knife in your back. They don't want to call Jay Z a genius.. Well, their definition of him isn't stopping his genius. Like Pippen always dissin' Jordan.. They have so much time to gossip, and talk about Jay Z, while he doesn't use his time to talk about them. He's using his time to do things.. that show you how to win, while others are showing you, they barely know how to swim
