How do you both adapt your life with the local environment? Is it hard?
universities here in malaysia have very good food. very underrated. seeing this vid kind of makes me miss my time at ukm.
Kaz you really like Nasi Lemak so much, so am I, happy also seeing your country boy can speak well in Bahasa and English, and also favour of Nasi Lemak, thanks for bringing Leo to experience life in Malaysia, good friendly guide and warm loving guy you are, keep it up Kaz you will definitely loved by many visitors and they will feel so much at home by your unconditional care
Looking at two Japanese guy eating nasi lemak using their hand make me proud as a Malaysian tbh ❤️Thank you so much!!
I like this segment. Its different. Usually tourists cover the usual eateries which is legit. But you escape into a different institution. It gives a different vibe. Sort of more relaxed, young and a little nerdy. 😊
Appreciate you going out of the usual tourist spots and really interact with the locals. A lot of other channels stopped being relevant when they ran out of tourist spots. Tasting foods in university cafeterias (and maybe rating them?) would be a series I would genuinely like to watch. Keep it up👍👍👍
I remembered how Leo was scared to do collabs with Japanese KZreadrs in Malaysia. I'm happy he's getting around just fine 🥰🥰🥰
I spent 6 years there. Best time of my life. Miss UM so much!!
Yes. Nasi lemak tanglin is among the best nasi lemak. Should go to main outlet located at hospital tanglin and try lauk sotong. It was legendary..

Universiti Malaya (UM), the oldest University in Malaysia...
The nasi lemak Tanglin is also available in the food court at Lake Gardens and in Bukit Damansara
I studied in UM and I assure that nasi lemak tanglin is super good. It's affordable with variety of lauk to choose from. I miss this. The last time I had nasi lemak tanglin was before the pandemic and online class and now I've finished my study. Enjoy your nasi lemak 👍
Fantastic video, you guys are great. I was studying at this University way back late 1970s. I miss UM....

Great video as always!!!! Love seeing you collaborating with other Japanese too.. should maybe join MalaypanTV as well one day!
Wow i had never see the first Japanese speaking Melayu language have fun for our Malaysia New friend 👍 good luck.
Wow I didn't know about trees planted by Japanese Emperor in UM. BTW the word, "Bercemar duli" literally means "Tainted their dust", it is a form of Malaysian Royal Malay (Bahasa Istana) which usually means, "They taint their being just to plant this tree". Like most Malay kings title, DYMM (Duli yang Maha Mulia) literally translate "Dust of Supreme Noble" e.g Allah for muslim, which in elaboration how many lands or wealth the king own, they're just a dust to the god. Bahasa Istana is pretty fun to learn because of their noble language used. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. 😊
Finally... The video is here with besday boy Leo... Oh, my university.. Hope u guys can make collaboration before Leo going back to Japan.. 🎓🎓🎓🎓🎓🎓😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
the best nasi lemak in UM for me was at the 1st college called Gerai Pak Mahat. This was late 80s so long after I graduated so not sure if its still there lol.
The activities in hangout with friends in Malaysia. 1.Hiking 2.Roller skate 3.Watching movie in cinema 4.camping 5.vacation trip with friends 6.go shopping to buy friendship stuff. Don't forget watch movie at local cinema
i love your interaction to one another in this video. i actually laugh at 3:55. i really wish that the tree could look better.
Kaz..saya sgt lapar..😢😢...belum makan 😭😭😭... thanks for your beautiful sharing 👍👍as always... Kaz dan Leo... Selamat Makan 😸🐈🍛🍛
Kaz your nasi lemak agenda is torturous for my had-dinner-already self 🫠🫠🫠 so nice to see a familiar setting tho, UM woo wooo!
Ambang Asuhan Jepun was the first place I studied Japanese before I further my study in University Putra Malaysia (UPM). そのあと、國學院大學で留学しました。。
you bring back my old memories during i studied in Pusat Asasi Sains UM (PASUM) in 2005.. it is beside the ambang asuhan jepun.. it is almost 17 years i left university malaya... 😢
Awesome Great nasi lemak.long time no see Leo.
In year 2010/11, always visited UM because I got a few friends that studied there. Took the lrt putra from my place in Wangsa Maju to the nearby station - 'Universiti' right? Then, either walked or wait for the bus - prefer to walk lol The food in cafeteria was nice & cheap too. Well, it was 10 years ago tho. The environment is still haven't change much :)

If I want to eat Nasi Lemak, Sambal Sotong will always be my first priorities. Next is Sambal Kerang. If they don't have that, always go for the normal Nasi Lemak.

Terubat rindu dengan suasana di UM. Tempat menuntut ilmu. Selalu lepak di cafe dan kantin.
Wow! Looks yummy!
Wahh ada leo👍
I studied at UM Kaz....you bring back tons of memories.❤❤
Terbaik kaz!
Go to Wanjo Nasi Lemak in Kampung Baru KL for better nasi lemak... But since you're here in Malaysia, make a trip down south to Johor and try Briyani Batu Pahat & Kacang Pol Johor Bahru...
The colour of the shirt really matching...!!!!
Hi Kaz, I just tried this restaurant at Sunway Nexis in Kota Damansara. It's called Balut (translation: Wrapped) and it's famous for its nasi lemak with 4 types of Sambal. There's their signature sambal, a sweet sambal, fishy sambal and sambal "arwah" (translation: dead person) because it's powerful pedas 😂 I think you might like it.
It's been 12 years since i graduated from UM. missing UM so badly😢
looks like one of the best, for real.
I remember a show named Food Wars Asia which organized the food war between Nasi Lemak Tanglin and Village Park Nasi Lemak. Of course Nasi Lemak Tanglin won!
Masa sy sekolah rendah, selalu ikut makcik saya berniaga kedai makan dlm um..kolej za'ba..seronok sgt
Watching this video makes me miss my university life in UUM…
My family & I went to a cafe in University of Kyoto on our Japan trip in 2012 to get halal Kebab. It was so good & delicious I can still remember the taste. Hoping so much I could repeat
Nice 🤩
Watching this at 4am and I am feeling like having UM nasi lemak tanglin. Stop torturing me Kaz and Leo!!!!!
Teringat nasi lemak kat Asrama Delima, Uitm Shah Alam (20 tahun yg lalu 😂)..sedap giler wehhh. Sambal dia memang power.
Wow 😍😍😍🤤🤤🤤
❤️
That nasi lemak looks so good!!
kaz, you may want to check out the food at Islamic International University of Malaysia (IIUM) in gombak. my colleagues who hail from IIUM are very proud about the deliciousness and variety of food there. oh, and here in malaysia, nasi lemak is for breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea time, dinner and supper. so, yeah, you can still get nasi lemak late at night, there's no need to meet for tomorrow morning.
I really like how the woman pose for RM 2 by using the food tongs (kiap kiap) at 5:08
You can try UIA Gombak food court ...cheap and reasonable price . And many choice of food too.😁
Nasi lemak Tanglin started at Bukit Aman, now it has franchises in other places
My university😍😍favourite visit is the library. So sad for the tree🥲🥲
If you go east coast in Terengganu. Sambal are sweeter and with Fish ( ikan tongkol). You should try Nasi Dagang next!.
Do check other universities too it might be interesting to watch
You should try Balut Nasi Lemak, in Sunway Nexis Kota Damansara....only place in the world with 4 sambals!
9am is consider late already in Malaysia, coz we always wake up earlier in the morning around 4am or 5am
Yummy yummy keep for me some
Both of you kawaii 😍
Oooooo u guys ate at the cafe of 12th residential college in UM I just ate there last week although I’m an alumni, i always go there to have my lunch because the price is cheap and the food there are umaiiiiiiiiii 😁😋

7:03 it's because a lot of ingredient's price has been increased lately. Living cost in Malaysia is getting higher.
Because of health condition, I can't eat spicy food. Watching Kaz and his friend eat nasi lemak it's really killing me😢
✌️😎✌️❤️🇲🇾

How UM got much student price than my uni they even much popular and best rank internationally
