I like this segment. Its different. Usually tourists cover the usual eateries which is legit. But you escape into a different institution. It gives a different vibe. Sort of more relaxed, young and a little nerdy. 😊

Appreciate you going out of the usual tourist spots and really interact with the locals. A lot of other channels stopped being relevant when they ran out of tourist spots. Tasting foods in university cafeterias (and maybe rating them?) would be a series I would genuinely like to watch. Keep it up👍👍👍

Wow I didn't know about trees planted by Japanese Emperor in UM. BTW the word, "Bercemar duli" literally means "Tainted their dust", it is a form of Malaysian Royal Malay (Bahasa Istana) which usually means, "They taint their being just to plant this tree". Like most Malay kings title, DYMM (Duli yang Maha Mulia) literally translate "Dust of Supreme Noble" e.g Allah for muslim, which in elaboration how many lands or wealth the king own, they're just a dust to the god. Bahasa Istana is pretty fun to learn because of their noble language used. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. 😊

In year 2010/11, always visited UM because I got a few friends that studied there. Took the lrt putra from my place in Wangsa Maju to the nearby station - 'Universiti' right? Then, either walked or wait for the bus - prefer to walk lol The food in cafeteria was nice & cheap too. Well, it was 10 years ago tho. The environment is still haven't change much :)

Hi Kaz, I just tried this restaurant at Sunway Nexis in Kota Damansara. It's called Balut (translation: Wrapped) and it's famous for its nasi lemak with 4 types of Sambal. There's their signature sambal, a sweet sambal, fishy sambal and sambal "arwah" (translation: dead person) because it's powerful pedas 😂 I think you might like it.
