Nashville 4K - Skyscraper District - Driving Downtown

Sunday afternoon drive around Nashville, the second-largest music production center (after New York) in the United States! Tour highlights include: Broadway, Business District, The Gulch, Music Row, and more. I couldn't film on the popular Lower Broadway. • Driving Downtown - Nas... Click this link to see Broadway from my last visit! Have a great weekend everybody!
Nashville is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Tennessee. Nashville is a center for the music, healthcare, publishing, banking, and transportation industries. It is home to numerous colleges and universities, such as Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Fisk University, and Lipscomb University. Entities with headquarters in the city include Asurion, Bridgestone Americas, Captain D's, Dollar General, Hospital Corporation of America, LifeWay Christian Resources, Logan's Roadhouse, and Ryman Hospitality Properties.
Economy
As the "home of country music", Nashville has become a major music recording and production center. The Big Three record labels, as well as numerous independent labels, have offices in Nashville, mostly in the Music Row area. Nashville has been the headquarters of guitar company Gibson since 1984. Since the 1960s, Nashville has been the second-largest music production center (after New York) in the United States. As of 2006, Nashville's music industry is estimated to have a total economic impact of $6.4 billion per year and to contribute 19,000 jobs to the Nashville area.
In recent times Nashville has been described as a "southern boomtown" by numerous publications, with it having the third fastest growing economy in the United States as of 2017. It has been stated by the US Census bureau that Nashville "adds an average of 100 people a day to its net population increase". The Nashville region was also stated to be the "Number One" Metro Area for Professional and Business Service Jobs in America, as well as having the "hottest Housing market in America" as stated by Zillow.
Although Nashville is renowned as a music recording center and tourist destination, its largest industry is health care. Nashville is home to more than 300 health care companies, including Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), the world's largest private operator of hospitals. As of 2012, it is estimated the health care industry contributes US$30 billion per year and 200,000 jobs to the Nashville-area economy.

All the California idiots are moving to out because they dislike California, then turning their new areas into California. - Texas has been over run already.. Homeless encampments everywhere & real estate prices have shot up through the roof. - Tech companies crush interesting, creative towns. Nashville will think it's great until crime & prices go up. Then locals will get pushed out. - Saw that in SF & Seattle over the past 25yrs.

I just got Flashbacks from the Past! I have been to Nashville 4 times now! My niece was Ms. Fisk U. about 10 years ago! She literally had a Cinderella Ball with A Waltz included. I believe it was held in the Convention Center or at least that is was I recall. It was dark or black on the outside with tinted windows and fairly tall. Shortly afterwards she graduated! The church where the ceremony was held is the most beautiful church ever! I remember a geometric roof that still is stuck inside my head! love the Architectural design of it! Believe or not, I went back a third time at her invitation! This time I got to walk around and Actually enjoy Nashville! My niece loved Fisk so much that the 3rd time she got married that year, I got an invite! Insane you say? She married a Nigerian student from Fisk U. They got married on paper, then flew to Nigeria for a real cultural Wedding and thirdly, wanted the family and friends to partake of the Ceremony! Thus, 3 times married in 1 year! It was the coolest celebration ever! I digress. The final trip to Nashville, the worst ever! Ex-spouses tend to do that! I plan to go back because the Building are so awesome and of course Fireworks flying over that river! Woo hoo!!!

I saw many new buildings that were not there the last time I was downtown. Also, I am glad you didn't think it was necessary to bombard us with a bunch of stupid music. Not bad for what it is. Problem is we have virtual reality now. And one can see everything in full 3D too in a small fraction of the time. It is also supplemented with literally thousands of 360 degree global 2D photos of almost everything including interiors. So one can look around to anyplace in 2D (including up and down) at will too. I recently checked out the insides of the Ryman, Opry House, Opryland Hotel, Texas Troubadour Theater, General Jackson, Bluebird, 3rd & Lindsley, Earnest Tubb Record Shop, Johnny Cash and other Museum, the downtown arena, and at least half the places on lower Broadway. Then back to 3D outside is the WSM Radio Tower, both Opry Houses & the Hotel, Lower Broadway, Music Row, The Tuesday night American Legion Hall, the entire football stadium from any seat in the venue and the walking bridge to it, Johnny, Connie & Marty's houses, Printers Alley, and Larry's house & nearby defunct diner. But standing right in the Opry circle in 360 globally was definitely the highlight. Just stunning ! Not only that but I online stream WSM live events or sister station Route 650 Americana right into the headset in full stereo as I do it. I call it Nashville, New Mexico. I gotta quite writing. The WSM 4,785th Saturday night Opry is about to start online..... I still call it "the air castle of the south".
