Great information. Do you think the scope 10 with a slower oscillating reel would get me more distance surf casting? I am about to pair it with a shimano Ultegra CI4 14000 XTC with slow oscillating 5.

J.J. K. I’m sure with a bigger reel designed for casting further then you would get more distance

Do you think the smaller Shimano Ultegra Cl4 5500 XTC would cast just as far as the 14000? The 14000 only holds more line and is 19oz, 5500 is 15oz. Im going to use 3oz weight and 30lb braid.

Great Review. I,m a big fan on Nash Scope concept, but only have one Scope Range, and two Dwarfs, all 3.5 lbs. I wonder what's your opinion on Dwarfs? Did y have any chance to test them?

Vyacheslav Kuznetsov I had 2x dwarfs in 3lbtc which I used a few times. I used them mostly on the river for piking. They were much softer than the scope rods and didn't have the back bone for casting at range, that said they were still nice rods for the money. I found the rod butts were a little too short. I gave them to my mate who uses them most of the time - he likes them!!

Any experience with the Nash Abbreviated rods? Curious if you could Use these rods with other styles of fishing such as spinner bait or swim bait/ lures? I'd love to get the Abbreviated spwan off model 6ft 2lb as an all around rod because of its compact ability. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Adam Butler Adam Butler thanks for watching! I've not used the abbreviated models but to my understanding they are the same rod with improved cosmetics. I use my 6ft sawn offs as lure rods in the winter, so you can definitely use them for multiple species. I haven't used the 2lb version but I'm sure there a good tool for this type of fishing! It's great just having them stashed in the boot for any opportunity! Go to a tackle shop and have a play with them, see what you think! Tight lines 🎣

I sold my reels a few years ago now. I'd have a look at the Prologic Element compacts if you want some retractable rods, much better than scopes for the price. That's what I use now.
