Nash Scope | **Casting 36 Wraps** | 2017

Спорт

I get inundated with messages relating the Scope Range from Nash, the most common question is by far...'how far can you cast them'?
DONT CLICK HERE: 😉 bit.ly/WATCHTFBTV
I put this little video together to try and show that it is very achievable to reach distances over 100 yards.

    I’ve been using the Dwarf Abbreviated rods (better than the original Dwarfs) for a while now and although I rarely fish at range, it’s nice to see how decent the Scope 10footers cast if I ever decide to add some. I’m not very tall and I find 12 foot rods to be awkward and less of a pleasure to fish with. I’m so glad that Nash continues with these types of rod. For those of you that don’t need to cast quite so far or fish small waters, I can recommend the Dwarf Abbreviated if you like a nice ‘players’ rod and at £100, they don’t break the bank!

The main items now being a trakker shelter, and avid rucksack. Connor Ley Hi mate, Thanks for watching! I would never advise someone on what they should buy or use. The great thing with fishing, is we control how we do it and what we use! Personally I love the Scope rods, they work great for me. Casting wise, I have used many different rods over the years. I have been carp fishing for 25 years now so have lots of experience and time casting and improving my technique. It's all down to the angler! I would recommend trying one out and seeing how you get on with them. There are plenty of advantages in using them, but there are some disadvantages too so you need to find what's right for you. If you're ever in my neck of the woods then come over and say hi, I'll let you have a few casts and see what you think! Any questions, then just ask!

  • @TheFishingBloggers

    jay 2015 it’s all down to what venues you fish, distance you fish and your ability. I used the 3.5tc for 4 years exclusively in the U.K. most of my fishing is no more than 120yd range so this rod covered me for everything.

    it doesn't say on the sticks that they are for 12 ft rods only, the 12 ft ratio is a the closest and fastest way of wrapping and working out the distance you are fishing at accurately, sorry I can't convince you on this matter, that is all I am going say on the subject, ps it is also funny how people defend other people when they agree with them! must be the Nash scope fan ♣!

    dezzyno1carper if you have 12ft rods then it is probably at the optimum distance to wrap quickly. However if you have shorter rods you have to step right and left to wrap which might not be the case. Like you say different opinions, but would be boring if we all thought the same. Ps. I don't have anything from the Nash scope range, I'm too tight 💸

    I own the original cygnet distance sticks which come with a 12 ft cord hmm I wounder why, this is the reason why I use 12 ft as a default measurement no matter what length of rod i am using, do you suggest that I cut 2 ft of my cord, buy some with a cord or haven't you heard of a tape measure also why would you be fishing at range with a 10 ft rod, not what they are designed for, it is also easier for you to work out the distance you are fishing at instead of changing the way you work it out being determined by a particular length of rod that you are using at the time, sorry you didn't learn anything with the 2 minutes of your ⌚!

  • @TheFishingBloggers

    @TheFishingBloggers

    dezzyno1carper I think Bristol carper is trying to highlight the same point I was. You are comparing your methods based on 12ft rods or a 12ft set of market posts. As I don't have 12ft rods I don't need the posts spaced 12ft apart! It's easier to just put them 10ft apart (the length of the rod). If your comments were being posted on a video regarding 12ft rods then it would be relevant. On a side note, why can't a 10ft rod be used at range? Marketing has dictated the longer the rod the further the range....this is true when just basing opinion on the 'pendulum' of a cast. What people don't seem to take in to account is the casters ability, or lack of in some cases! I can cast 130yd with 10ft rods.....I don't need 12ft as I don't need to fish further than this!

  • @hughbarnes1234

    @hughbarnes1234

    When I go fishing I generally find a spot I want to present on. I then clip up, and wrap it so I can fish accurately, that's the reason for distance sticks. It doesn't matter if you have them 4 or 14ft apart. Cygnet do the cord at 12ft as it's the most common length rod used. I don't think I'll add a tape measure to the tackle box, I'll just use a rod that I already have in my hand. The angler in this review says it a 10ft rod, says how many yards he's fishing at, and so how many wraps that is. Doesn't need to be any clearer in my opinion. I don't really see the argument

If your fishing with 10ft rods, how are you going to accurately place your distance sticks at 12ft if they don't come with a cord? I've never heard of anyone else doing this but what ever works for you chap. Bottom lines is this is an advice video, so can I advice you to pipe down, no need for your comments as I understood fully, as it seems others did on the videos info 👍🏻

    dezzyno1carper I think you have created a problem where one doesn't exist! I don't need to state the wraps are 10ft - it's a 10ft rod!!! The only error here would be that I have assumed people have basic common sense and this doesn't need explaining, but as you have pointed out, maybe there are people that need this explained further (like yourself). Why would you mark up a 10ft rod at 12ft wraps - that's just awkward! I love all criticism, but your comment seems irrelevant! In all the views that this video has had, you are the first to see this as an issue....

    dezzyno1carper you are trying to tell me I am doing something wrong in my OWN fishing! I do it this way and couldn't care less how you do it...each to their own! I use 10ft and 6ft rods - actually again you're wrong as what you do wouldn't work for me! It's easier for me to mark up at 10 ft and then 6ft! I've put this video up for any open minded angler that is looking at buying a set of scope rods as it highlights the average range you can achieve with them! Again you are trying to have a debate about a pointless topic which is down to the 'anglers' own preference. How about just stop watching my videos if you don't like it, give me a thumbs down and go watch something else.....why even bother commenting if you don't like it! you answered a question to the Don which was incorrect and was not corrected, some people with less knowledge rely on correct information, to many people giving out information confuses the people with less knowledge who are trying to get in to the sport, the best way to learn is to find your own way as in life this makes the pursuit of knowledge better and more rewarding in the end, people just trying to make money from a pastime which is now called a sport because of commercialism.

    I think you need to take a step back and realise that not everything is done in the conventional way that you have accustomed yourself to.not all ppl use 12ft rods and not all wrap up at 12ft.why put your distance sticks at 12ft when you have a 10ft rod and make it harder to wrap by having to reach an extra ft each side?i bet your one of those ppl that ring ofcom moaning that the time on Corrie is not the same as your clock at home.

    Ive read all your comments and thats a few minutes of my life ill never get back but ffs mate. Im guessing you were sat at home in front your xbox playing a fishing sim game and your mum told you its time for bed and youve been sat there phone in hand typing utter bollox in frustration after having spat your dummy across your room. Get a grip mate. The fishing bloggers have been a decent fair informative reviewer over past few years and ive followed some sound advice and benefitted. Dont try picking a keyboard scrap just get to bed its school in the morning pmsl 😂😂😂🤣🤣

    the people who have just done this video say that 21 wraps is 70 yards not so it is 84 yards alot of these people have zero credibility when it comes to giving out so called advice # noddys!
