INTRO
Yeah yeah hold up
KD2 sh*t
Ayy hold up, c’mon, whoa
Right back at this
Right back
Right back, hold up, whoa
HOOK
High on life
Drunk off dark liquor
Sh*t gettin’ eerie
Like I threw on Thriller
B*tch I’m a hard hitter
Rolex clocks and killers
Holdin’ the order
I’m prayin’ God delivers
I had run-ins with Suge
n*ggas woulda’ been shook
At the height of the beef they started Death Row East
Damn, I even saw their tees on some of my G’s
Notorious label the story was made in the streets
Now it’s real life movies
Rest in peace Ill Will
VERSE 1
Let’s talk about it
We the smartest not the loudest
Came up out the project houses
Where they resort to violence
Hennessy bottles on the curb
Lil’ n*ggas tryin’ to serve
Let’s talk about it
Back when Jungle told Pac it’s on soon as we walk up out this
Picket signs Outlawz outside the music hall
Buncha’ ghetto superstars really down to lose it all
Both sides was thuggin’
But when you in my city you know how we comin’
Animals in the field and most of ‘em clutchin’
When you livin’ this rugged
That come with repercussions, look
HOOK
High on life
Drunk off dark liquor
Sh*t gettin’ eerie
Like I threw on Thriller
B*tch I’m a hard hitter
Rolex clocks and killers
Holdin’ the order
I’m prayin’ God delivers
I had run-ins with Suge
n*ggas woulda’ been shook
At the height of the beef they started Death Row East
Damn, I even saw their tees on some of my G’s
Notorious label the story was made in the streets
History lessons
Keep it on record
VERSE 2
Let’s talk about it
Cuz when you got a story real as mine you can’t leave nothin’ out it
Let’s take you back to ‘9-6, diamonds and Mac 10’s
Lookin’ thru a fresh lens
Everything I know now, wish I knew back then
Like it was only so much time left
Before Machiavelli the Don left
Booked a flight, flying out West
We was trying to squash the whole sh*t in Vegas
No media to eat it up and leak it in the papers
Eric B, Big D, and Preme was affiliated
Peace to Edi, Napoleon and all the innovators
We had respect before we was ever some entertainers
See Suge, he was a dangerous threat
MOB almost turned half of New York red
Brothers I grew up with threw up their sets
Some even had them Death Row chains hang off their necks
There’s a rumor that spread I’d like to address
Pac was never set up by Stretch (let it rest)
I stepped to him at Bryant Park so we could speak direct
He didn’t disrespect, we planned to reconnect
OUTRO
I flew to Vegas to shoot the Street Dreams video and link with Tupac
Tried to squash the East Coast West Coast beef
We didn’t talk
But he was still alive in the hospital
And it rained that day in Vegas
Rest In Power

@@TheExclusiveOne720 yeah aight, if that's the case Nas didn't NEED to do anything with Lil Nas X neither, the way you're looking at things. Yet he did. Pac & Nas squashing the beef & doing records together especially at that time, is definitely something that would've been monumental. Did he need to? No. Would it have been dope as fuck for them to, knowing it would've been colossal? Well, of course.

This song DESERVES AND NEEDS a video.... I can already see it... Nas rhyming in 2021 flipping through a photo album with a montage of photos and vids from the 96 era of PAC, deathrow goons, Nas and jungle's goons... Zoom in on a photo in nas' photo album of PAC doing that interview in new York about death row east that turns into a video, fade back to Nas reminiscing about that era as hes strolling through bryant Park with ghost/faded people walking behind him where it went down. Showing behind the scenes footage from the street dreams video..fast cuts, fast fades and zooms representing how fast pac was livin, and how fast that whole time in the early 90s seemed to come and go...... The beat and nas' flow just has such a nostalgic "reminicing on the old days" feel to it. A video with effects that make it look like old school vintage 90s tv.....it would be Fuckin epic! MAKE A VIDEO OUT OF THIS NAS!

I grew up in Detroit and went to Howard U. I was in the stands are RFK stadium just being a young G during the Howard Hampton game September 13, 1996. The game STOPPED and the announcer came over the PA system and announced that PAC had died. I remember being so numb. There had to be 50,000 Black people from across the country bound under the Hampton and Howard flags that evening. When we tried to conduct a moment of silence, we literally could not do it because there was so much wailing and crying. His life took on a whole new meaning for me, because it was only then that I realized how much he meant to so many people...RIP bro, I cannot believe it has been 25 years

Same. I'm from Indy and went to Jackson State. Same thing, I use to tutor at this elementary school and a young kid came in saying "my mom said Pac got shot". No social media I'm thinking, his mom must have been talking about 94. Later we played I think Gramblin or someone in the swac. Announcement that Pac died. We had a moment of silence, the band played "I ain't mad at Cha". Later that night, women crying on the campus, the mood was shock mode. At the club, the dj was playing Biggie..then he stopped the record and said F that Shyt. Put on ambitions as a ridah..the place erupted. Then later that night a rumor went around that Master P got shot 🤦🏽‍♂️. Those where the days. HBCU Life💯

The true gospel is the good news of the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, it is concerning who Christ is and what He did to save His elect only. The gospel includes the how and why, which can only be seen by faith. It is a message that declares how the eternal Son of God came down, took on a body of sinless flesh (John 1:14) as He was born of a virgin (Mat 1:23). He was both God and man in one Person. He was born under the Law to keep and fulfill it (Mat 5:18, Gal 4:4). He did that, not for Himself, but for all those He represented because they could not keep it themselves. The word of God calls these people the elect or His sheep, among several other names. His obedient life also included the part of dying. He took on the sin of His people as both a Substitute and Representative of those people. The Bible said He was "made to be sin" (II Cor 5:21) and the way that was done is by God imputing (legally reckoned or charged to the account of) sin to Christ. That means all the sin of all those people God chose was "laid on Him" (Isaiah 53:6). This sin was legally transferred to His account and He then owned it in such a way to be guilty of it all. God the Father poured out His wrath and hatred toward sin on His Son and had pleasure (Isaiah 53:10) in doing so, in that, He was completely satisfied in Christ as a Sacrifice that met all the demands of His strict Law and inflexible justice. Christ finished the work of paying the penalty of the Law and then said " It is finished" (John 19:30). He secured salvation for all God’s chosen people that would even be born. His resurrection is evidence of the acceptance of His sacrifice to the Father. The combined work of His obedience to the Law and His obedience unto death on the cross was considered establishing righteousness. This is what one of the Old Testament prophets prophesied as "bringing in an everlasting righteousness" (Daniel 9:24) as Christ died effectually and exclusively for those chosen of God before the world began (Eph 1:4). This righteousness is what God imputes to His people in the context of giving the life to believe in Christ. This puts them in a state called "Justification" and as a result they are eternally secure, in Christ. This is the gospel (Rom 1:16-17). All this takes place in such a way to show God as both a God of justice and a Savior. This is how grace reigns through righteousness (Rom 5:21)

Much respect for Nas... it dawned on Nas that Pac wasn't just thugging and that Pac was a lyrical warlord trying to change something that's certainly not right... that was the same day both of them almost killed themselves on issues about their short term beef. Nas then realised that both he & Pac, were actually soldiers on the same struggle. If Pac was still alive, they would have been the biggest flocks that the rap game ever experienced. Pac and Nas are actually the greatest 🙌 in rap history. Respect!!!
