@@Relco12 it’s more of a backstory thing not depression really, naruto escapes a bad past with the help of his classmates and teachers guiding him back in the right direction after he gets out from “drowning” in the wrong way he sees sasuke going down that same path with no one to save him so naruto dives right back in to be that friend to guide him back.

Can never get enough of this opening. NICO Touches the Walls did such a fantastic job with _"Diver",_ and the visuals while simple just fit so well. Easily one of the best openings in the franchise, and certainly one of it's best songs.

There’s really nothing symbolic about it. It’s frighteningly literal and upfront as to what it’s about and that’s absolutely fine. I love it as it is.

Yeah. I've been fighting a lot of significant obstacles in my life and the imagery of this broke me down today. I've won so many fights but its christmas eve and I'm in a house full of people who can't fully grasp how painful this year has been for me physically, emotionally, and financially... But they support me nonetheless, and I want to cry some days so badly but I keep it in, but I watch this opening and the dam just freaking burst man.

This scene is incredible 1:08, it clearly represents Tobi's mask, implying that he is luring Sasuke into the darkness, 1:16 and the way the shadows cover Sasuke's face at the same time he awakens his mangekyou sharingan, simply cinema

I think another aspect of this opening people seldom speak about is how this marks the start when the people around Naruto finally realised the countless sacrifices he made for the people who once disowned and hated him, and finally realised it's their turn to make sacrifices for Naruto.

My favorite Naruto Shippuden Opening out of all Gosh dang I love this opening.

The imagery and symbolism in the Naruto openings is always on point. This opening is no exception! Love when the blood runs red with “blood” which is a parallel to the darkness threatening to swallow Naruto’s resolve.

I love the character's development in this opening. From a guy that nobody like, to a hero everyone respect. That's what I love about this show! 👏❤

Diver is definitely one of my favorite opening of Naruto

This is seriously the best anime opening ever created

The song + animation = Perfect Story! End of story

Seriously. This opening is so underrated.

That's not it..? Naruto is drowning dealing with so much, drowning in his own sadness, sorrow and darkness only to get lifted and saved by his friends as he gets up to see he notices Sasuke is still there. He's still drowning. Going deeper and deeper. (Mangekyo Sharingan) and Naruto strikes his resolve to go back down there to save his best friend Just like how his friends saved him

The symbolic visuals accompanied by the meaning of the lyrics never cease to choke me up. The first line of the chorus, (“I’m trying to breathe, but it hurts here.”) hits like a punch to the gut, but damn is it satisfying to scream-sing along to this in the car.

I remember I spent a whole lifetime with this opening. "Diver" how incredibly UNFORGETTABLE. I was simply obsessed with this opening because of its overwhelmingly unique, hard-hitting music, the badass guitar, the cool and gorgeous animation on Naruto and Sasuke, who looked Soo indifferent, extremely cold and badass with his Mangekyo, at the center of the raging whirlpool!! One of the absolute best along with Hotaru no Hikari!!

NICO Touche The Walls "Diver" is my favorite Opening, and NICO Touches The Walls "Broken Youth" is my favorite closing. NICO Touches The Walls always does an outstanding job

This opening has alot foreshadowing and is underrated this op is one of my fav. Naruto falling in the sea in him falling in despair and when he gets a hand from everyone he gains all of there hope to overcome anything and have a final fight with Sasuke

An opening full of sense : The feelings of Naruto who drowns under all the events and all the responsabilities who he will take in the future but everyone support him even us ! And an opening who mark the "old" Naruto and the "new" who grow up with the death of Jiraya and the meeting with him father and soon him mother... Omg what a beautiful opening...

This opening has hit really hard for me since I first saw it…the visuals and the meaning behind it all are so meaningful to me…it tells such a good story just in the opening of how Naruto was drowning in sorrow and pain, all alone, and then gets lifted up by his friends that he now has…out of the darkness, and now he wants to save Sasuke from the same fate he almost met. I know I just over-explained it all but I just really love everything about this opening.

This op is so underrated

I just love how in the last ninja storm game they basically integrated this opening in it 😂 that’s how you know this opening was lit

The best part is what begins at 0:45.

A melhor abertura de animes! 0:10 o olhar do Naruto diz tanta, mas tanta coisa sobre a vida dele, sobre o momento pós morte do Jiraya... depois temos Naruto e Sasuke afundando na escuridão e profundidade de suas vidas, passado e presente, Naruto perdendo as forças, mas aí aparecem seus amigos pra lhe salvar, e ao sair da escuridão, o mesmo sem pensar duas vezes, amarra sua bandana e vai em busca do seu melhor amigo, aquele que é o único a entender perfeitamente seus sentimentos de verdade. Mergulha naquele redemoinho (jutsu do obito?) e mar ainda mais negro o sugando para a escuridão! Desconheço abertura de anime que o descreve melhor, junto com a letra e cada batida da música! Simplesmente épico! Uma pena ter sido abertura de fillers, provavelmente quem pulou pode ter perdido.

A abertura é de um filler, mas poderia ser tranquilamente a do anime inteiro pq resume muito bem em 1min através de símbolos o que foi a série do Shippuden, sem dar spoilers ainda. Abertura imbatível, a melhor que já vi.

The Symbolism in this opening is simply Amazing! Anyone notice how there is a whirlpool in it like how "Naruto Uzumaki" name refers to a whirlpool? I"m joking! I shouldn't tease Naruto fans this way because the symbolism in this opening is what makes it fun and has it describe the point of the series in a way that is probably more accurate than most openings.

I m 20 and I just stopped being a teenager 2 days ago and reading this hurts, knowing i m older than the characters i loved my whole childhood.I started watching when i was 12 same age as naruto .I d give anything to go back to those days, waiting all day long to come home from school so i can watch what happens next .This is one of the few anime that will follow me through my whole life .Idk why i felt the need to drop this wall of text but your comment gave me the feels.
