Maybe I've just watched this opening too many times but I don't get goosebumps or that same relieving feeling anymore and that just makes me really sad. (the relieving feeling is also from reading the english translation, it says smt like "i came this far to tell you something, before I'm crushed by this vast world...etc")

@@lindahashem9281 interesting, I dont come back to it that often so it feels spaced out, plus I think of the moment in the opening as a representative of the whole battle rather than just his death (which is admittedly a little drawn out) so I think of his sacrifice and what it means to the greater Naruto Plot

Kishimoto has stated that since Naruto and Sasuke are rivals that every time one of them progresses in strength so does the other. But that’s the same for their losses. As Sasuke loses Itachi just after Naruto loses Jaraiya. They both lose the most important and influential people in their lives at nearly the same time.

Best Naruto Shippuden opening.. EVER . Jiraya had two extraordinary students. One had the power of the nine tails inside and the other wanted the world to experience what true suffering was like. RIP Jiraya. This Arc was AMAZING.

I first watched this opening when I was 11 years old. I didn't understand a single word but I became very crazy in Japanese and started self-study. Then in 2021, I was taught by a talented teacher and finally became fluent in Japanese. Now I understand these words. Now I cry every time I listen to this.

Naruto is a masterpiece. I started watching it when i was 6.. everyday after school i ran home to watch the anime program... now i am 19.. it is like naruto grew up with me... cause when shippuden startet here in germany i changed to the middle school (you have Kindergarten, First school and then middle school).. oh man, i feel sad about it.. like how time time flew... i wish i could have stayed a kid forever..

This is my favorite Naruto opening. I love how it captures the fights that ultimately claim the lives of Itachi and Jiraiya and the impacts they have on Naruto and Sasuke.

Sasuke staring at the ocean with Taka is one of my favorite shots in the series. Not sure what feels hits me more, remembering Itachi and Jiraiya or my old high school years.

Didn't notice Sasuke crying 1:19 the two main characters crying in an opening you know they went through some crazy stuff this arc .

I've seen this opening 100s of times and never noticed that not only was Sasuke's seal taking over at 0:43 but all 3 Uchihas have the same exact eye open/shown, being their right.

This was the intro that I was on when I finally caught up to Naruto for the last time and just watched weekly. One of my favorite intros to this day and that seem with Jiraiya when the beat drops still gives me chills

Man when this opening first came out, me and my cousins were in disbelief thinking Sasuke was going to lose one of his eyes fighting Itachi. I mean we all knew Itachi was gonna die due to plot, but Pain being one of Jiraiya's students, 4th Hokage & Kushina reveal in his flashback and Itachi's secret + Sasuke's Mangekyou were all just too much for one season. Probably the prime season of the 2000s decade of Naruto.

My favorite opening in any anime. The music is great, the visual are great, and it comes at an amazing part of the story.

Look at the beginning of 153-th Naruto Shippuden episode, the seconds before its opening. You will notice Jiraya hiding ice-cream from Naruto and then opening starts and he gives it to Naruto...

100% my favorite Naruto opening. "Sign" is just an incredible song, but to tie it in to such an impactful section of the franchise is almost unfair. Damn is it amazing.

We waited over 300 episodes to watch this battle and we were not disappointed.

Seeing jiraya know he's about to die gets me every time. Of all the people to die it had to be my favorite character

It's been four years ago I lost my friend to a train accident. He was my dearest and the one I share everything with. I listen to this song on loop the night I recieved his news. Now I listen to this whenever I miss him.
