What's great about this battle is that if you're not a Naruto fan, you can appreciate the fight for itself and how in sync the two are and the jutsus they easily pull off. If you are, you're probably tearing up a bit because our boys are just effortlessly fighting together and have each other's backs and call back to so many little moves and tricks they used in the past as they were growing up. Absolutely the best thing to come out of Boruto.

i slowed down the speed to 0.25 and rewatched that part just cause i was so fascinated. since its a milisecond exchange, in normal speed you wont catch it, but slowed down the frames the movements are perfectly and understandably drawn!!

What I love about this scene, besides watching Naruto and Sasuke absolutely demolishing an enemy together, is that it shows the difference between raw ability and trained ability so very clearly, which is a reoccurring theme in this anime. In this scene, it's clear Momoshiki has more raw power, which gives him faster reflexes and more strength, but even with all that he's no match for the 2 most well trained people on the planet. They've practiced and honed their skills for literal decades. He's not really any different than fighting an average jonin to them, in terms of skill.

Actually at this point in the story, Naruto had been behind a desk since the last war ended, in this fight he's rusty but still incredibly strong

At this point, he's been behind a desk as Hokage for between 5 and 8 years, and even with his obligations as Hokage, he still takes every opportunity he can to train. Given we see his inauguration day, and he already has both Boruto and Himawari, both are old enough to dress themselves, and get ready for a day out. Given this, and that we know Boruto is at least 12 in the Boruto movie, we can assume he's either late 10 or early 11 when the show opens, and approximately 5 or 6 when Naruto is made Hokage. The age difference between Himawari and Boruto is 2 years, meaning at the start of the show she is approximately 8 or 9, and approximately 3 or 4 when Naruto is made Hokage. Up until probably about 3-6 months before being made Hokage, Naruto would have been fully active and going on missions regularly, tho these missions are more likely assisting with training younger shinobi or diplomatic missions to other nations. Even still, we can assume he's keeping up with his training. We also see him take part in training with the jonin of the leaf fairly regularly, namely the barrier forces and the reconnaissance forces.

@@AwashimaSeriLieutenant Even though Natruto's been living in peace time for Boruto's whole life, it doesn't change the fact that he and Sasuke are the two most powerful shinobi to have ever existed in the history of their world. when you think about it, it's absolutely hilarious that Momoshiki just said to himself, "Yeah I'm just gonna 2-v-1 these guys, no sweat," and then got positively bodied for it.

The two of them are fighting against what is supposedly someone close to as powerful, if not more powerful, than Kaguya… and they’re having fun doing it. Will never get tired of it.

I don't usually leave comments on videos, but I gotta say this is the most epic battle I've ever seen in an Anime, to see naruto and sasuke go hand in hand and fight momoshiki so beautifully together brought a tear to my eye, especially when you understand what they both went through to reach that point...

Naruto’s story ended a long time ago, and they didn’t get nerfed the enemies got stronger and Sasuke has held himself up pretty neatly against Code and ishiki sorta, and in two blue vortex he fought off code and his army so Boruto could get away and he scarred code. Seems Sasuke has held up okay against the new generation enemies

Not to say that Boruto is necessarily bad, but Naruto has emotion, reasoning, redemption, the ability to make you have a change in heart for a villain, and cool fight scenes. Boruto is just a little brat who gets into trouble by his own accord and has selfish motives.

720 episodes of these two growing, improving, fighting, losing people they love, just for us to see what they became as adults 0:20 it was worth growing up with these guys.

Naruto and Sasuke were always fighting, magnets to battle and war throughout the entire series while most of the ninja sit in the village enjoying a mostly peaceful era of life. There's no wonder they pulled so far ahead of their peers, their ancestors Madara and Hashirama lived in an era of war, and were so powerful due to constant fighting. They went through a lot of scary encounters to get where they are, from Naruto facing the end of the Leafs Nagato or even Sasuke learning truly what it felt like to almost die fighting Killer Bee. These two went through hell and back during their time and learned a ton from it, and just like in the very beginning where they were using each others skill as goal posts they propelled each other to being literally the most powerful ninja in the world. It's crazy seeing how far they've come from the days they were trying to run up the tree and kept getting higher and higher than each other and marking their spot, but they never stopped running up that tree did they?

Remember when naruto and sasuke couldn't climb a tree?

5 years and the underground shuriken switcheroo still bring tears to my eyes. Best love letter a mangaka can give to their long time fans: a subtle throwback only they will notice. It's like giving us something onlt we can enjoy.

As a naruto/ naruto shippuden fan I’ve never watched Boruto but holy shoot this is probably one of, if not the most beautiful fight I’ve ever seen from the two.

That entire strategy was callbacks from different fights from the past: - Sasuke shuriken rains = Sasuke vs Itachi - Naruto coming from the ground = Naruto vs Neji - and then the all-time classic

My favorite part is that they went all out with the Zabuza one, to the point where it was a triple fake out too, like they had to one up themselves for the first time: The ground shuriken was Naruto tossing a rasen-shuriken Naturo's rasen-shuriken was actually Sasuke with a sword Sasuke's attack was just a distraction for Naruto's punch and both of them are taking this so lightly that they're smiling while doing it like it's an utter game to them.

What makes this fight so great is that they aren't just repeating old moves. They took every old trick that these two have used previously and amped it up to reflect the extra years of training and development. This fight was done RIGHT!

Yeh. But they didn't use Kurama nor the full Susann'o. That means they didn't take it seriously.

It's been 5 years since this and it's still a masterpiece

The anime made this fight especially beautiful because the redesign of Momoshiki was refreshing, set the aesthetic for Otsutsuki hereon and the gorgeous storyboarding by Sekibeing was amazing. But as reluctant as I am to admit, Kawaki vs Garou trumped this in episode 189.

At the end of this, the writer was like "OH S**T! I FORGOT THEY'RE NOT THE MAIN CHARACTERS ANYMORE!!" lol

Kudos for the director of this episode. It is at the classic status of anime fight scenes along with other legendary classics.

My favorite thing about this is seeing how EFFORTLESS it is for Naruto and Sasuke to instantly get into perfect sync with each other, no matter how long it’s been.

He didn’t balance anything he used chakra. He did the same thing in the forest of death as a child. He concentrated chakra to the bottom of his feet and threw a kunai at somebody.

It is the kanji that reads as "ken" which translates closer to "blade" rather then "sword" and could be any kind of bladed weapon depending which kanji you use it in combination with like in this case (shuri, “in the hand”) +‎ (ken, “sword; blade”).
