I have gotten crowns on some of my teeth and a couple of times the bite didn’t feel right. It felt like I was hitting that tooth first. I went to the dentist and she filed it until the bite was right and felt right. She said a small variation in bite like that can cause issues long term. It can be important to not hyper focus on small things but some times that sense is in fact correct and needs proper addressing and not setting aside.

I worked as a dental professional for 15 years. Tooth chips always feel much bigger than they look. Think about how uncomfortable it is getting a large piece of food in between your teeth is. Now, think about how "big" that piece of food would have to actually be. Also, it's totally normal if a filling (bond, as you called it) is high in your bite for it to be uncomfortable - all your biting pressure is hitting that little spot first. Your teeth fit together in a very precise way for good reason. Don't give it a week - call your dentist and get it adjusted!! It will continue to be uncomfortable, it may become painful, and it could adversely affect that tooth or others! High fillings happen, even to good dentists, and are very easy to fix!!!

As a person who has had a ton of dental work, I would definitely recommend you go back in and have adjustments done. Dental work can 100 percent affect your bite and cause jaw pain and headaches. They can sand down the filling to match your bite usually without even needing to numb you. Listening to your body is important.

I was at Legoland, took a bite out of a soft “apple fry,” and got what was probably a microscopic chip in my front tooth. That chip consumed my mind for the rest of our trip and my tongue rubbed it constantly. I don’t think I’m autistic, lol, but I was so perplexed by a soft item chipping a tooth, that the “why” consumed me. I went to the dentist when we got home, and he couldn’t even see it. He did shave it for my sanity. He barely shaved it. 😂😅😂

I'm an astrologer and pulled your chart while watching this, and Cancer and Scorpio really make sense to me. Your North Node, which represents your soul's mission, is in Scorpio and in the 4th house, which is ruled by Cancer and represents home and family. When I read charts, the North Node is one of the 5 major things I start with in a chart. You also have an aspect configuration (a specific set of angles/relationships between 3 or more planets) called a Yod pointed right at it. Yod comes from the Hebrew word for "Finger of God", and you have another one pointed at your Midheaven or MC, which represents how you appear to the public and "career". People with Yods in their charts are called to serve something greater than themselves, and usually have an intense sense of this from a young age. Like you said, there's many layers to astrology, and I could go on and on about why your results make sense from an astrological point of view just based on this test. But you've had your chart read, so this is mostly for anyone looking in the comments and is curious why a Sagittarius would have these results 🤘🌌

And to the Aquarius note, your Descendant (opposite your rising/ascendant) is in that sign, which is what you look for in other people (among many other things) so I can see why this the type of person you strive to be.

Sag is just where your sun is - sun can represent your career and also your father. Where your moon sits can represent your mother and your intuition and emotions. Your rising sign is typically more specific to you. Plus where all the planets sit in your personal chart will affect all the others that they make aspects too. I appreciate that you both , as a super intelligent, articulate people were open and gave space for astrology. It’s a super complex ancient craft. Thank you🙏❤

When he said he chipped his tooth in the beginning of this episode and had no recollection of how that happened, my first thought was that he was grinding his teeth at night. My husband grinds his teeth at night and has TMJ. He has lost several teeth due to this. Stress is is the cause to this tension. I am actually fascinated by this fact because I never really understood why he did it at night. I used to do it as a kid but I stopped.

My dentist has always used “bite paper” when repairing an occlusive surface. It’s sort of like mouth-friendly carbon paper. It’s placed between the upper and lower bite surfaces. Patient then lightly bites down and then grinds the teeth across paper, which leaves marks on the tooth. The dentist can then grind down the hit surfaces until both sides are even. It generally does take a few days to “attenuate” after an oral/dental change. However, if he’s still having problems and especially if he feels his bite is uneven side to side, it might be worth a trip to dentist to have the surfaces re-ground. (If you want it removed entirely, though - yes, they’ll have to grind it off, and because the bondjng had to cover not only the chip, but the tooth around it, to which it attaches, you’ll have a bigger “boo boo” than the chip that began it all. Hope this helps - or even more so, that you’ve now long since attenuated and are now chewing happily once again. 😀

I work in dental. Even the smallest unevenness can feel huge and cause pain in the jaws. A simple bite adjustment with your dentist will fix it. It will not wear down on its own. They will likely use articulating paper (blue paper) to show the high spot and they will polish it until it's even.

I’ve always wondered if there is any merit to the personality traits as described by astrology, but instead of stemming from astrological position, are instead attributed to relativity to certain important events. How does being born so close to big holidays affect your relationship with your birthday and thus the culture of celebrating yourself? What is the first season you can remember experiencing, and would being born earlier have shifted that? Data of that sort interests me far more than knowing where the planets were

I'm with Jonathan here.....changes in our mouths seems huge, even when they're tiny. Add to that how sensitive our tongues are and how they love to feel all new changes, I think Jonathan is completely normal on this one. 😁.

Do an episode on NVC. Mayim is focused on intellectualizing/assessing J's tooth chip experience when he is likely needing to be seen, to be understood, to have a shared reality, to be attuned to and empathized with. NVC is about feelings and needs. Both of you are wanting understanding and empathy.

My biggest fear has always been chipping my front teeth. Even tho I know they can fix them. It's the shock and feel of it and I can't help how much of a big deal it is to me. I am on Jonathan's side about how much attention this takes up in him.

Tooth, I had a crown put in. My bite changed. I went back , described the fault and they shaped it to fit me better. All good now. On the point of resisting doing things asked of a person, if you have not already, investigate Pathological Demand Avoidance as an ancillary aspect of Autism.

I came to comment the same thing about PDA profile of autism. That is exactly what the rebel tendency is describing.

I hate to tell you all this but I have figured out what is going on as I grt older. We are slowly rotting everyday... as we get toward the end of our life and that's why we are falling apart. No one told me, so I just wanted to let everyone know. ❤ from West Virginia

I'm 52 - I've lost teeth and had teeth repaired. In addition, I've lost organs due to health issues. No matter what - even as small as a chipped tooth - takes time to get used to the change. I have no doubt it is not right because they CANNOT NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY make it like God made it. There is a reason "Ain't nothing like the real thing baby," is so true. After a while, you will get used to it, but it will NEVER be the same again, and you will adapt to it. If it bothers you too much, you will seek out a way to change that. Hang in there - as you grow older (especially after 50) you will have these things more and more, but good news, you get better at adapting. YES IT WILL TAKE LONGER THAN A WEEK!

The most exciting moment of the episode for me was when Mayim talked about loving the enneagram. Is there an episode where she discusses her enneatype and the enneatest? I'm going to guess that Mayim's a 6 with a 5 wing. Salutations from a sista Sagittarian

Hmmm, lets take a whole group of volunteerable people looking for answers of guidance and criticise them on our show. Being conflicted isnt a crime and wanting to live up to your potential isn't narcissistic. Narcissists don't care who they hurt, and have a negative view of people they hurt. They're takers, not givers. If your looking into tarot for guidance you obviously want to invest your time into something. Give a part of your goodness, abilities, and resources to something. I honestly watch it because I think the algorithms help guide me. Those videos that pop up give me strength to keep going. I wish i could say the same for your videos.

okay so before I get any further, I want to say that if your bond feels that uncomfortable they dentist did not check it properly after it was done. Please please go back or find a another dentist to fix or remove it. The change in your bite can actually cause huge problems. After listening to a bit further yes definitely call your dentist. Let them know all of the issues you are having with it and have them file it to where your bite is back to how it was. Good luck!

I chipped my front tooth and have had a lot of dental work, Just tell your dentist u need them to fix the contact between ur teeth because the filling has changed your bite and thereby is stopping comfortable contact... have them use the contact paper to test it.. then don't leave until they shave it down to a comfortable level.
