He's being smart about his moving up in weight. He's clearing out all the best guys before moving up in divisions. This should be PRAISED.

I cannot agree with this statement. Inou is fighting Nery who lost by KO to Figueroa who lost to Fulton??? Inou Knocked Fulton out? The only thing I can think of is that this fight is personal because of how Nery cheated over there in Japan. Inou should be fighting Sam Goodman in Australia. That IMO is tough fight in which he wins by spectacular late stoppage.

@@stefano9731 Sam Goodman team is already in negotiation with Inoue's team to fight in Australia if Inoue wins against Nery. If it does come to Australia, I hope it will be held in Gold Coast where there is a large Japanese community and also that's where I'm at... 🤣🤣🤣

Inoue clearing out all the top 5 fighters at 122. Nery does belong in that top 5 ranking but this fight is more personal to Inoue. Inoue performance against Fulton was master class and I expect to see an even better performance against Nery. Sam Goodman would be the last opponent he needs to face at 122 as the Australian definitely deserves to be in the top 3 at 122 after beating Aleem. Would be nice to cap off the monster saga at 122 by giving Goodman his first loss before moving up to 126.

He is not an impulsive idiot. He started at 108 and is currently at 122, moving up in a very short time. Inoue is reaching the limit of what his frame can bear so he is just being professional about it no matter what ring side yahoos want to say.

People complain about Inoue only fighting outside of Japan 4 times, if they even acknowledge that fact at all, but it's actually more difficult for Japanese fighters to fight in Japan. The pressure to win is enormous. Losing in front of their countrymen is a harrowing prospect, and would be a huge letdown. On the other hand, Inoue's opponents can expect to get paid a lot more to fight a title match in Japan against one of their stars than they would in their home countries.

It's not a waste of time. Japan is getting their revenge on Nery - Inoue is clearing out the division - and he's being tempered in is accent through the weight classes. Building/cultivating proper boxing muscle isn't easy and it takes time. Simply going squats/deadlifts and caloric surplus isn't enough to build proper efficient boxing muscle. There are so many elements that get overlooked when trying to move up weight classes in boxing. If you don't bring your cardiovascular system w/ you - that extra muscle will be taxing as you move up in weight (see Canelo). The problem is - training your cardiovascular system works counter to muscle growth process. It's a time consuming and calorically intense process - so to increase your muscle mass while bringing your cardio is a multi-year process.

I don't get this mindset at all. Inoue clearing out 122 is fine with me. Ive been wanting to see Inoue vs Nery and also Casimero since they were all at 118. I still want to see Inoue fight MJ and Goodman as well. Why are we pushing for Inoue to move up so soon? Hagler stayed at 160 his career and is an all time great. I dont get this notion that certain fighters need to move up to be considered great

Yup. This moving up thing is brainless. I mean someone was come after an extension amateur career at like 26-28 years of age then regardless of how good they are they can't move too many weight classes. For someone starting at 20's can move upto 5-6 weight classes So anyone simply counting weight classes moved is nonsense

We are pushing Inou because the more difficult and legacy defining fights are a weight class higher. He is such a massive favorite against anyone left in the weight class after defeating Fulton.

@@stefano9731being the favourite doesn't mean anything. How much of a favourite was, say, Lopez against Kambosos? Everyone and there mothers swore that anyone outside of Ryan Tank and Haney couldn't give problems to teo at lightweight and what happened? Regardless of how big of a favourite you are or not, it's the champions job to fight the best guys in his division, which is exactly what Inoue is doing

  • @stefano9731

the mindset is this. Inou already defeated the best fighter in the division by blowout and received 3 of out 4 belts. His last fight was just to collect the last belt. So where do you go from here? He is going to be 31 by the time he fights Nery and he really should be maximizing the time he has left. Nery is a forgone conclusion and no one here gives him a chance. However, The featherweight division has 4 different champions and even though I still favor him there is an element of the unknown. He should be spending the rest of his career cleaning out that division and fighting outside of Japan. He should be using the Manny P career blueprint now. Just saying.....the only reason I suggest fighting in Australia against Sam G is because I think that would be a crazy exciting fight because that guy could present some issues with his ability to brawl and box and he has good movement. Inou is going to have to intelligently break him down. IMO

It's easy for you to say. He's already moved up to four divisions. I believe he hasn't really climatized at Super Bantamweight yet; plus, he has a score to settle with Nery. There is a revenge factor in this fight, and Inoue wants the opportunity to get revenge for Japan. If you don't know about this, I would encourage you to look it up. Peace.

This fight is going to benefit Nery more than Inoue. If Inoue win this fight, it will be just another fight defending his belts. Inoue is posessing all 4 belts and an undisputed champion in this division. On the other hand, if Nery win this fight. He will get all for belts from Inoue and a load of money. So, Inoue has more to lose here.

Inoue is definitely the best Boxer on earth but he better not take Nery lightly. It could be his toughest fight since Donaire 1. If he does move up to Featherweight there a lots of very good fighters waiting. Robeisy Ramirez, Figueroa, Luis Alberto Lopez, etc. I think Inoue has more Skill and Speed than those guys but his KOs may be harder to come by as always happens when moving up in weight.

Why does he need to go out of Japan? He makes plenty of money in Japan - and he puts on fights for his people in Japan. He's already fought multiple times in America. But America is no longer the fight capital of the world. That's Saudi Arabia now. They're the only ones with the stacks of cash to incentivize Inoue at this point.
