Inoue's jabs were not just lighting fast but they were power power punches. Fulton felt them in the first round, you can see it in his eyes and worried look straight away. From that first round it was already all over for Fulton. His game plan gone. The knock out was just a formality, its the total domination that's is most impressive. More one sided than Spence vs Crawford as l see it. And the fact that lnoue moved up in weight going straight fighting a unified champ. Totally mind blowing. As Teddy Atlas says he not just a Monster he's a smart Monster. That says it all for me.

I wasn’t bought on Inoue being a monster, but he made me a believer that night. He dominated Fulton and showed why he’s among the best. He controlled the whole fight and broke Fulton down. Beyond his power, what stuck out to me about Inoue was his iq, impressive footwork and his aggressiveness. By round 5, I felt a knockout was coming, but shoutout to Cool Boy for putting it all on the line.

Once Fulton's jab was neutralized the fight was literally over. Fulton was alleged to be the slicker boxer. Inoue was slicker. Fulton had the longer reach and was alleged to be the better jabber. Inoue out jabbed Fulton. Fulton was the bigger guy. Inoue fought like the bigger guy. Fulton was the athletic boxer who would control distance. Inoue was more athletic and kept it at a distance that he likes which is mid-range. Fulton was the boxer who fought fair with legal handwraps, Inoue wrapped like Fulton wraps and beat him with the same wraps that Fulton has. Inoue literally took every aspect of Fulton's skill set, duplicated it, reconfigured it and made it 10× more effective than what Fulton would've done with it. Inoue is AI (artifical intelligence) in human form. His physical traits are supreme but even more impressive is his IQ and his ability to neutralize fighters best attributes. Inoue is like the T-1000 terminator in terminator 2 with the ability liken to liquid metal to absorb and conform what his oppenent does well and perfect it as his own. In retrospect, a fighter comes in fighting himself but an upgraded version of himself and that's how Inoue neutralizes you. He takes what you do, perfects it, & makes it better. He does so without losing his core rudimentary fundamentals like footwork, highguard, and feints to set you up.

Nice summary paesano. Keep up the good work. Inoue has demonstrated that his ceiling will be much higher than 122, possibly up to 130 but not beyond has he has a small stature. The kid is a pleasure to watch. There are seemingly few holes in his game. He was nearly picture perfect against Fulton. I think he takes out Tapales in November and goes for the 126 lb belt next year. One of the most complete fighters we have seen in decades.

Let's not kid ourselves about how badly overmatched Cool Boy Fulton was in this fight. Remember Fulton was the Champion going into this fight and Inoue made him look like a uncertain and confused sparring partner over 8 solid rounds before being knocked silly. However, the emotional damage to Fulton post fight had to be even worse than being knocked out. How would any of us feel going from the top of a successful career, into the realization that not only are we no longer number 1, but even worse, knowing that no matter what you do, or how much you improve at your craft, you'll never be able to reach the level of the guy who beat you! That's got to be tough to face.

A lot of the reason Inoue is in and out so fast, almost like an Olympic fencer or something, is those big legs of his. Fulton is so chicken-legged by comparison. That strong base helps Inoue develop surprising torque at weird angles, also. I don't know why Inoue would fight more than one more time at 122. I think there's an excellent chance he can collect all the belts at 126 also.

He has gone through 3 divisions with relative dominance and then goes up to a 4th and dominates a VERY GOOD champion in his PRIME in a fashion that harkens back to top tier performances from Pacquiao, Tito Trinidad, Roy Jones.....in their PRIMES. It will be interesting to see where Inoue goes forward from here.

Inoue takes a photo of his hand wrap before the fight so there are NO excuses for the ass beating he was going to hand to Fulton. Inoue wrapped it JUST the way Fulton wanted and still knocked him the f*uck out. Inoue outclassed Fulton, outboxed Fulton, and dominated Fulton by doing what Fulton does best. I would argue that Inoue is the slicker boxer out the two. Many people like to infuse racial biased when predicting fights. True boxing fans are objective no matter the race. I'm black and I saw Inoue doing exactly what he did today. This fight should allow people to see the greatness of Donaire; he gave Inoue his greatest challenge in their first fight to date. Fulton is not a bad boxer at all. Inoue makes great boxers look average. I don't want anyone saying, "Inoue hasn't fought anybody." That's the casual fan go-to-comment when people elect to discredit greatness that sits right in front of their faces. Inoue fights nobody because his oppnenets become "NOBODIES." after dealing with him. If the track runner Usain Bolt in his prime beats a world class sprinter with ease, it doesn't mean his opponent is slow, it just means that Bolt is just that fast. Inoue is just that GREAT! He made Fulton look like an amateur. Inoue has probably gotten more work in sparring than he did in this fight.

The only respect I have is that Fulton didn’t duck this fight. He should’ve ducked that punch in the 8th though😂

Taking a 10 hours flight isn't enough to say you went for " greatness", he also needs to show something in the ring, today Fulton showed he is willing to fight outside USA, no more than that!

@@igorgarcia3471For your information no one wants to promote him Fulton & booked a fight with INOUE here in the U.S. & besides he Fulton can’t get that amount of $$$3 mil. per fight (title) here in the U.S.

Those Inoue jabs were hurting Fulton. I was expecting a competitive fight (surprised af that Inoue beat at his own advantage). If he goes to 126, the potential threat is going to be Robeisy Ramirez. Otherwise; he mauls everyone.

Pauly right about the feints, they're are such an essential and underutilized tool that every fighter should use, IMO. Not as much underused in boxing as in MMA though. It's part why Israel Adesanya and Volkanovski (especially Volkanovski) are so much better on the feet than everyone else in the UFC and they come from joint camps, City Kickboxing is like the only MMA team that utilizes feints well lol.

Dream would be Loma vs Inoue at 130. But Loma will prob be retired by the time Inoue gets to 130.

A precise and methodical 💥DEMOLITION💥 job by Naoya Inoue ...in the truest sense of the word🥊💯 Naoya Inoue is on a fast track mission to take over this division and become undisputed at Super Bantamweight and then repeat exactly the same feat at Featherweight. Nobody can honestly say he can't become the most multiple weight undisputed Champion in history🥊

I've had Inoue as my #1 P4P guy for a couple years. He's the most dynamic, explosive, dominating fighter in the sport. I see Crawford edging out Spence, maybe catching him late. Then there's a debate over whether it's Inoue or Crawford at the top. (I think the U.S. sports/boxing media will favor the U.S. fighter.) Since Usyk can't get Fury to fight him, through no fault of his own he's left to fight lesser opponents, plus the war and his age limit his activity, and all that--unfortunately but rightly--keeps him stagnant in the P4P rankings.

Moved up in weight, challenge the number 1 guy right away and just completely destroyed the opposition. Fulton is no chump. Fulton was to have size, reach, speed, talent, footwork, and defense over Inoue. Fulton was supposed to be Inoue's greatest challenge but that challenge did not arise at all from Fulton. Thats how you catapult yourself to p4p #1. Unless Crawford or Spence also have an one-sided fight, The Monster stays #1.

Good shout on Usyk, people forget about him in the p4p debate. I swap and change on the order but Inoue, Usyk and Crawford definitely deserve to be top three.
