Nano Eco Cube (Cheap & Easy DIY Paludarium)

I enjoy creating and sharing nature designs, but there’s often a perception that they’re always expensive. Although that’s the case in some instances, it’s not the norm for me. DIYing, working with what I have, and buying things on sale help me do things cost-effectively. In this one, I wanted to share how it’s possible to make a paludarium of all things with minimal materials, simple techniques, and stuff from my yard. Enjoy!

It was awesome being able to get outside again to collect materials and I think this one turned out great! Probably one of the best examples yet of what's possible simply using things found in the yard (or on the side of the road lol). What do you think? Let me know and have a great weekend SerpaSquad!

Hi! Thank you for this new video! I have been watching all your content these last weeks and I decided to build my first small aquarium! I bought the glass and silicone and built the tank, only to realise I used a silicone that contains a biocide 😢 I didn't want to take the chance and risk killing all the fish, so now I am scraping off all the silicone and doing it again with a safe product. Did something like this ever happened to you as a beginner? Also, how do you make sure not to introduce any toxic or dangerous substances in the water? Again thanks for all the free knowledge you are sharing with us, keep up the wonderful job! ❤

I find watching “waterfalls” in paludarium very relaxing. Years ago I created one for a friend in a 60 gal tall, custom built, “antique” Metaframe tank. He put in a few Spring Peepers, 2 Red Efts (which eventually became Eastern Newts) and a white Beta in the water section -which was much larger. Tiny ferns & micro-mini/miniature Sinningia added color & contributed to the sense of scale. Also called “Wood Violets” tiny Sinningia are a great plant for small-scale builds as they bloom and reseed constantly with no care. In the Gloxinia family there was a Sinningia Society in the Northeast at that time (I’m sure they still exist.) As usual nice job👍🏻
