Dimash is not a screaming singer only. He is an artist. All registers are awesome. Firstly you must understand singing are not only about technique and high tones, but also feelings and meaning.

I personally love that Dimash uses different vocal techniques, mixes genres up, and sometimes even in one song sings several languages. He always talks about uniting the world, different nations /peoples, and he’s uniting different music styles/genres as well. I find his music very interesting, much more “textured” than other types of music. It’s simply not your friend’s cup of tea and from your expressions you know this video will offend some people.

If you research the song a little and put on the subtitles, you'll discover that this is a beautiful poem written by a man who's about to loose his wife to cancer. Dimash interprets each word with so much tenderness, sorrow and at the end pure desperation, mirroring the poet's feelings. If you'd done that...I hope your reaction would have had more depth and appreciation of how exceptional Dimas' interpretation was.

Sorry, it‘ s a wrong story. The song was written by Igor Krutoj and Valeria Gorbacheva for Alla Pugacheva, who just married Filipp Kirkorov. It was her forth (?) marriage and she wanted a song about happy love, which she was a long time waiting for. Sorry for my english, I hope it‘s understandable. 😅. If you‘ ll google «Любовь похожая на сон» Пугачева, уоu“ll became a few variants of Pugacheva singing this song from 1994 til 2019 or so. I think she is better, may be not vocaly, but she has much more different feelings there, happiness, sadness, irony...

Dimash is on a mission: to assert that the lines between genres shouldn’t be so bold. To push against the music industry and do what he wants. He probably won’t succeed in revolutionizing the industry. But for some million of us his music is all we need. Splendid venom straight to our medullas

Okay girls, whilst you are about it...Dimash's new song Your Love has just premiered....a great song of pure belting, constant modulations and high notes.....that should fit your brief, Linor. There are many beautiful 'normal' songs that Dimash does...they are just not crowd-pleasers because everyone wants to have the high notes only...... This is why i appreciate this song so much because Dimash has refrained from going to the 'place' that people expect from him...in fact, this was an exercise in discipline for him as a singer, and subsequently, an exercise in discipline for us as the listener....forcing us to enjoy the moment, the intimacy, for as long as it pleases Dimash to keep us waiting for the storm......

The song was called "Love is Like A Dream" and I take from this reaction that you were not following the lyrics or the feelings that Dimash was conveying, starting with the soft breathy dreamy parts (that you didn't like) and taking us through an angelic sequence, and powering out to a wonderful conclusion ? It is a piece of art and a superb one at that. I'm a little disappointed in your reactions and your interruptions at crucial dramatic points. It seemed neither of you were really listening to what he was doing, consequently your reaction was a superficial one. "Fireworks" ? He took us through a story and concluded with a beautiful dramatic moment that you chose to interrupt. I'm not at all disappointed in his performance. It was beautiful and as another reactor has said , he stays in character from the moment the music starts till the music stops. Its a shame neither of you were listening.

Hahha soooo funny to see the kind of a shitstorm caused by, anyway you wonna say that, such a lack of kindness, touch and attitude. Not specifically about you Linor, but your friend ... LOL probably her heart and mind are too raw to understand such an original and genius composition! To the point of stopping exactly at the moment they were so disrespectfully waiting for :) but I am sure you got the mastery with which dimash crafts every single micro detail of what he does, PAUSES included, demonstrating he probably really is one of a kind! And tell your friend this respect and passion for details should be for her the first takeaway from this song :)

Ozzy. Thanks for your analysis. I like your comments better when somebody a bit less narcissistic does the proof-reading. You seem sincere with your “preference,” but you should know the Ozzy-centric offering your backhanded compliment thing will turn off real people as they individuate further into adulthood. Also, Rule of 3rds for your pic dude. Makes your tall hair seem like an over compensation. Sincerity isn’t cheaply judged, but this video is free. So easy with the negativity. (Some people like normal humans reacting normally to music, even ironically). You remind me of a Grandma in church forcing us all to take Ozzie’s communion. You’ve got 125 people at the Church today.

This song is actually a wish/prayer that the moment of love he is experiencing will last forever (a dream). So it's supposed to start really soft, almost a whisper, a thought. As desire grows for this beautiful experience, it becomes powerful and ends with a passionate burst of emotions. So to rush it would mean losing much of the song's intention. To choose this song for the "storm" is absolutely a wrong choice. His competition songs are there for a reason. I agree with you, Linor, that Dimash singing in one style/technique is very much limiting. That's the reason why he didn't accept being offered a position in Astana Opera, because he would be limiting what he can do. I've always noticed people trying to box Dimash in this one particular label, missing the point of Dimash's artistry in the process. I find it just so weird, it's like asking Paganini or Liszt to limit what they can do in their instrument.

Hi Linor.) This is a song by Alla Pugacheva. Divas of the Russian stage. The very fact that she allowed the performance of her song speaks of great respect for Dimash. Alla has become the "business angel" of many young artists. Helping them get on the big stage. At the piano Igor Krutoy. One of the most serious Russian producers. He also works with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifulina. Dimash from Kazakhstan. Has a clean Russian language. And pure Kazakh.

Since our countries are very close. And all of the above characters are from Russia. And today Dimash is also considered a Russian artist. He sings many songs in Russian. And he has many concerts at the largest venues in Russia. Although he is a patriot and loves Kazakhstan very much. Promotes his country. Telling about her all over the world.

For all one style of singing please take the time to listen to his duet with Aida Garifullina singing Ulysse. To my untrained ear he sings largely in the baritone range for the whole performance with some tenor notes. Another operatic performance which is wonderful is Ti Amo Cosi with both Aida and Lara Fabian. His baritone and tenor voices are just wonderful. Even if you decide not to do a reaction video you shouldn't miss those performances. They are both on his channel.

Welcome to Dimashmania! Dimash is a voice like no other ever in the history of the world! I also first heard his voice in Opera 2, when he performed Episode 2 at Singer 2017. My life changed since. Wow, you were sharp! Noticing immediately that he was modulating half a tone higher and higher each time! Please continue reacting to Dimash! Every single performance and recording is a marvel in itself. Just last week Dimash released his first English MV, Screaming. Since that moment he stepped into the stage on January 21, 2017 till now, he has gathered 16 music awards!!

He rehearses constantly. He studys. He practices his hand and body movements in the mirror. He looks at other singers to see what they do too, so that he can learn to do it better. Constant improvement. This is a person who lives and breathes his art. For him it is total Immersion. I think that is why his performances strike the heart of the listener.
