Nancy Cartwright: The Voice of Success
Award-winning voice actress Nancy Cartwright is best know for her work on FOXs "The Simpsons." The Ohio native spent time at Dayton-based WING radio in the mid 1970s, sparking an interest in voice work. Nancy attended Ohio University on a scholarship in 1976 to begin her studies in the communication field. In 1978, she left OHIO to follow her dreams in Hollywood. Nancy was invited back to be the Commencement speaker for the Ohio University Class of 2012. This film documents Nancy's trip back to Ohio as she gives advice to the graduation class on how to be successful in life.

Exactly. After decades of falling in love with Bart Simpson, only now I discovered that hers is not just the voice of Bart, but the energy/spirit or him!!!! If you love Bart Simpson, it's because of who Nancy is ❤❤❤❤❤

As an animation artist I can't stress enough how important the right performance is. She is a legend, and such a wonderful person. How cool that she went to OU (go Bobcats). Athens is always a great area to visit, especially the many Hocking trails and caverns which I hope she got to experience when she was there.

I grew up with Nancy Cartwright for along since I was younger though but I remember her for what she was like in person it's hard for me to remember what other voices she did for Cartoons

@@tumble0weed And she is warm and authentic. Not always this animated, but always loving and sincere. So refreshing. This is a performance, sort of, a big public display of public speaking, so, I imagine, she expresses herself more fully to uplift and entertain with an audience.

Nancy's sister Marsha was a super sweet girl who befriended me in 1976 to 9th grade at Barns junior high school, when I transferred from Holy Angels. Very nice family.
