Ask a blind person if they ever used Brail, I think that's the correct spelling. Or have any blind people they know used it.

I have a blind friend of 25 years who does read braille and she swears many blind people never bother learning how to use it anymore. She has gotten proof reading jobs from the education department of the government specifically because she knew how to read it. She has a special braille computer keyboard which somehow lets her read on it too, and the difficulty is finding computer software compatible with that hardware.
