    This is gofundme material and you should use it to your advantage. I'm usually pretty eh about the whole crowdfunding thing but this is something I'd donate a few dollars to. Honestly, most people ESPECIALLY in the online metal community will eat that shit up and you'll have enough to buy those pedals within 24 hours of sharing it.

  • @joepeffer5115

    @joepeffer5115

    Exactly. The drumming community is so pretentious about skill and technique. Yet they forget, when all the classic drummers of the 70's came around, who the hell were they following or practicing? No one and nothing lol. You play until you define your style, and like myself as well, my feet were left pretty fucked exiting the Army, I can manage double bass fine but my nerves go numb. This allows people to play the music they love at a comfortable level. Its not about showing off.

    I had my left hip replaced from an injury in the year 2010 and I've been struggling for 11 years to get back my double bass skills. At my peak, I could play almost anything at any speed on my pedal - odd time, blast beats, you name it, no problem. After the surgery and lots of rehab, I'm still at about 50% of my ability that I once had and it has been heartbreaking at times. The dualist pedals may be my answer to putting double bass back into my skill set until I can try to get my left leg to be at least 90% as good as my right leg.

    +deathbastardable I know you're not saying you think a 9-string is a gimmick(which maybe you do), but I think it's practical as a main guitar if it's multi-scale and especially if tuned basically like an 8-string but with a high A. I think a 3rd low string compared to standard 6-string is a bit overkill, but some people could probably make good use of it. At that point it's really a bass/guitar hybrid which is kinda cool, but most people just couldn't really make good use of it and it shows a lot of the time.

    This completely changes the way you play the drums. If you think any asshole is just going to be able to pick this up and perform extremely technical and precise beats, you're mistaken. It might allow the noob to play really fast and accurate single stroke, but outside of that lame boring beat, it just makes everything harder and more complicated. It's really just a tool to take already advanced drumming to the next level.

    Kevin Benoit wrong lol with triggers you can be doing a technique completely wrong and half-assed but a trigger will make it sound like you're doing it to perfection. If your bass drum sounds like rumbling thunder then get a new mic or get a new soundman.

    @Mathikins

    bigD2387 you obviously don’t know how triggers work. They literally pick up the slightest hit depending on the sensitivity setting. If you play something half assed, the trigger will just amplify how shitty you’re playing.

    I've been a drummer for 23 years and a professional live/Studio production tech for over 6 years. I don't care how you choose to perform your music just as long as you get out what is in your head to your fans. I have an electric/acoustic hybrid kit for my band. We use loops, one shots, and our own recorded samples. These tricks are considered cheating as well. However, you would be surprised by how many of your favorite bands are now using these CHEATS. Personally, i am really considering this product even though I can do double kick.

    I know you're largely joking, but look up Henker quad pedal on KZread. There's some guy who used to put up videos of playing 2 Sonor Giant Step pedals. Those have two beaters on each pedal, but are quite different than Duallist pedals - they have a second pedalboard on the heel-plate, so everything is controlled independently. It's super hard to learn, I picked up a cheap knockoff design for fun, but I gave up after a bit.

    exactly. this invention makes it easier to play the bass drum, it doesn't play an entire song for you or correct your mistakes in real time like autotune, both of which would be considered actual cheating. you still gotta hit properly and on time.

    Playing smarter not harder. You know how many metal drummers physically burn out before age 45 these days? This open up a possibility for new beats, grooves and styles. For someone like me with damaged arches, im not going to kill myself to learn the "techniques" the drumming community demands all players learn. I have my own style, and again, I would totally use this if it meant less physical strain and damage to your body if you have problems. People get to pretentious about their craft.
