I like how you work so many problems and take the time to go through each step...your examples are so similar to the ones my professor gives on quizzes and exams. Thanks for taking the time to make this super helpful video!

Does this show up on India's youtube or UK's or US'? Why did you choose US youtube region by chance? Just curious because I thought India is much closer with Britain.

@@ethanchen4504 In India, highschool students generally use these lectures for their competitive exams , for example am in 11th grade , and studying this to build my base. Then we have to study even more advanced things. Some common exams are JEE INPhO INChO RMO INMO NEET etc.
2021 and you still saving lifes!
well done
Such a confusing topic. Thanks so much for simplifying it. Excellent video!
you calmed my anxiety for my test coming up , thank you !!:)
Am so proud of you. Thank you so much for giving me more knowledge. . I thought I would never learn it, but thank God you gave me hope ❤❤❤
You always make great videos! Great work, keep it up. Kids like me are surviving orgo thanks to your help!
I have a test today in organic chemistry This helped to cleaar a lot of stuff. Up Thanks
Thanks for such a organized video♥️
Thank you
I have a test tomorrow on organic chemistry. This really helped clear some things up, thank you!!
MUCH LOVE
Thank you so much ur saving so many ppls grades
The king has saved me once again
thank you so much, this helps me a lot
Excellent! Clear and concise!! 😊
What an amazing tutorial
You are always there for me to solve my chem problems 😄😄😄
Thanks
Wow...thank you sooo much❤️
Thank you once again.
Thnk u so much brother
This really helped, thanks!
Very helpful, easy to understand because of good explanation.
Thank you so much (Fri 18 Dec 2020, 4:48 AM)
You're doing a really great job..
Thanks a lot...... From India
Thank you for making such a good video. I have a better understanding now!!!
Superb explained 👍🎉🔥
You are the man!!
God bless you Sir I really learnt alot 😘💨💗😊
Learnt alot from these
Very nice video and very helpful
Thanks this is a life saver❤
not sure if this is the case for all orgo classes but in mine we can also name "4-bromo-3-methoxy-2-pentanol" as "4-bromo-3-methoxypentan-2-ol" so that it's clear in the name where the hydroxyl group is located on the compound. fyi, both are right but my professor just prefers the second way!
@rohithftw2187

2nd one should be preferred cause the first one is not applicable when unsaturation comes.

The first one is old IUPAC naming system, on the other hand the second is written using the newer version (given by IUPAC) of naming system.

Great vid
Best one😊
Im in love with ur voice😍😍😍
Do you think you could do a video on the lenard-jones potential? including the graph etc? thanks for the great vids :)
Thanks dude cleared my basics this is nothing compared to the ones we get in school tho also, you missed anisole and all the other compounds attached to benzene.
Your are the best I love you so much
This is my first time ever watchin an actual Organic Chemistry video from you, which means you've made me pass general chemistry 1st semester. Thank you @TheOrganicChemistryTutor
Love you sir ...
For the iupac name don't we have to number the cyclo's am a little bit confused and why
Tysm😃
Frankly telling the video is amazing. Concept clarification is 100% granted ,,,, but I just want to raise a question,, like you wrote up 3-methyl-2-heptene it should be : 3-methylhept(2)ene

U have nice voice bro
Why is it called isopropyl
Awesome
Bless u🫶🏾🫶🏾😭
What if both alkoxy groups have a branched structure? If the numbering starts from 0 twice, how can you keep apart the two number sequences?
can't imagine better explanation
What if you have subs on both sides of your ether? How do u name it? For example, I have on the left 1-ethyl -2 methyl propyl and the right side has 1,3 dimethyl propyl ...? What would be the correct name for it?
Sir how we know that" yl "be written
thanks re
What a god.
Nothing to say just "amazing"
can u add subtitles in your video because sometimes the subtitle in yt doesnt really know the exact word

Isn’t at 5:10 the common name ethylneopropyl ether?
Bro what do you mean by priority of functional groups
at least I got it 😃😃
who are you lol.... such a great tutor with a really understanding voice.... thank you
You said alcohol takes precedence over an ether in naming... but how do you know? What if they give a question including other hydrocarbon derivatives with an ether... how do I know which one takes precedence over another in terms of order of naming???
Helped me alot and thanks for your wonderful explanation sir.
I understand but I have a question if there is Ch3_O-CH2-Ch-(Ch3)-Ch3 what would be the iupac name of it plz tell me

1 methoxy 2 methyl propane
Do we have Dicyclopentylether
Please why did you not indicate the position of the ethers on the cycloalkanes as they where on the second carbon (ortho) ?

At which point in the video?
I had solved these problems in 10th grade
#Thanks from an indian to you.
i had a question on # 5:50 minutes of the video shouldn't it be like 2-ethoxy isopropane ? im just confused
@rwayle
4 жыл бұрын
Remove the ethoxy group and name it, it would just be propane right? So there you go
Hey may i ask when will I Use the "yl" and "ane" example... Ethyl...ethane?
@katherinecases616
5 жыл бұрын
When you wanna name your ether as a "common" name, that's when you use "yl" as a suffix; if you gear towards IUPAC names, that 'yl' is only the substituent and the compound with the "ane" is considered the priority/ main chain.
In the example with cyclohexane, if we change it to benzene then we call it benzene right?
I have a doubt, in your first example u told it's methoxy ethane but to write it's methoxy ethane there isn't 6 hydrogens to tell it's ethane rght??
I thought we are to ignore the prefix, is cyclo not a prefix in this case?
Thank you for the great explanation 👍🏻👍🏻 I was struggling with this topic but you made it so simple to understand!!
