Naming cis/trans Alkenes (E/Z too)
Alkenes that have a asymmetry have different isomers.
Name them just like regular alkenes (i.e. pent-2-ene) but you'll have to tell people if the bond is cis or trans (Z or E) depending on how the groups are oriented around the double bond !

The 3rd example on the first page helped me out. Couldn't figure out why some didn't have any prefix. Thank you!

Thank you
the last example confuse me :( why have you chosen the z an E instead of cis and trans?

The E- and Z- style is more reliable and particularly suited to tri- or tetra-substituted alkenes, and especially when the substituents are not alkyl groups.
Thanks

U DID IT WRONG. UR SUPPOSED TO LOOK AT ATOMIC NUMBER NOTTTTT ATOMIC MASS.

yeah but actually it doesn't matter much because higher atomic number elements also have higher atomic mass. So i think it'd not matter much
SUPERBBBB
