Reminds me of the Chess puzzle where your Queen is being attacked but instead of moving your Queen you take your opponents Queen and usually capture an extra piece in the process

Beside checks, captures can also break the symmetry. If two queens stare at each other from symmetrical positions and one takes the other the symmetrical move obviously becomes unavailable.

Because of Rg8 to c8 and there’s no defense, it’s mate in 2, even if white gets a queen.
