the next Miss Philippines Universe must take inspiration from Cat's struggle, journey and victory by treading her own path and expressing her own identity. every year, every delegate/candidate is different. wag din iexpect that she must also be articulate in Cat's mold, but articulate still in her own mold. I hope either Charmaine Elima or Aya Abesamis is crowned next as Miss Philippines Universe

BPI Charities already has outreach programs that the titleholders are contractually obligated to perform. the next Miss Philippines Universe titleholders must simply be real to themselves and show their personalities. and it wouldn't hurt, if not most appropriate, for people not to compare them to Cat or Pia.

Long answers are not tantamount to good or excellent answers... What Catriona gave is a short, brief, precise and direct to the point answer. Wala ng paligoy ligoy pa...Besides papano mo pa papahabain ang sagot mo kung ang punto mo lang is kung after ka for "medical use and not recreational use" and that everything should be used in moderation. Hindi yun 50/50. Its a clear and honest answer.

Fate had already set everything up for Cat. From the lava walk with her lava gown that is in agreement with the backdrop of flaming red. And when called for the five finalists, she stood up from the four other girls. She alone has the unique aura not because of it's lava inspired gown but she appeared very visible at the center blazing in red while courted by silver girls.

You guys are funny. However, Catriona gave a very succinct answer regarding the question about Marijuana, which for English speakers, very well understood what she meant. It was a very good, non-judgemental, and safe answer

@@yrien982 It would've been ok to state that she's against the use if she contextualized her answer - based on the Philippine laws and social landscape. Cat, however, showed she doesn't/shouldn't only speak on behalf of the Filipinos but to speak as a representative of every nation if she wishes to become Miss Universe. She knew how to strategize and it seems that she delivered her answer out of conviction - would've been difficult to formulate an answer when under extreme pressure to impress people right of the bat.

There were lot of hints that Philippines will win that morning I was there.. 1. Lu and Carson intentionally not selecting Philippines as their top choice because of the popularity of Catriona on and off cam. They need to divert some attention to other candidates. 2. LED lights gave hint when 2nd runner up was called the color of Venezuelas gown. 3. Putting at the center of Final 5 the Red Gown. 4 interviewing Catriona by Ashley before the EG competiotion begins 5. And last Steve harveys saying to Catrionas Congratulations were all of these are hint to her success..

Ron Reg saw this at 2019. Add to that the Chi commercial that only has Catriona as endorser. There was a commercial involving south aftics puerto rico and others in a group, then i saw the chi commercial where catriona was the only featured candidate. That made me go nuts!

Watched 2nd time right now and nandun parin yung feels! The kaba ang pagkaproud as Filipino!

Ilang months na ang lumipas din since miss universe 2018. Tita, nung may paslow mo turn pa lang si cat nun tas nagtrending not just in the philippines but in other country also grabe kaming dalawa ng mama ko sabi namin "Panalo na 'to... Patay na sila kay Cat.".. then nung nirampa niya na ang lava gown niya, waley na talaga nilamon na ni cat lahat ng candidates yung way ng lakad niya pak na pak tas yung pagmumukha boom na boom. So nagtop5 okay tahimik kami kasi kalma na ako na si cat na panalo kasi naman pinagigitnaan siya ng mga light colors(silver-and etc) pero nung top 3 na hay ala ka juskoday HALIMAW ANG NAPADALA NG PILIPINAS, yung pagsagot niya parang wala lang fun fun lang parang nakikipag-usap lang sa friends niya o kaya nasa ggv lang , walang kaano-ano 'tong babae 'to. Grabe si cat halimaw siya as in..... At lalong lumakas ang kutob ko ng tila umaakting na lang yung tatlong host na obvious sa mga paborito nila na dry naman ang papuri nila. At first, I am not a fanatic of beauty pageant, the last show i've watched Miss Universe was 2015 when Pia W. won. But, when Catriona appeared on my wall {FB account} her walked on preliminary competition I told myself this time we have a huge edge that we will win. When I saw her I am a little bit disappoint cause she is not pure Filipino but when I do some research about her and watched that music video" "We're in this Together" i felt that her love in our people and our country . When Miss Philippines called on top 20 and Steve Harvey asked her about what song, her answer "Raise Your Flag" was awesome and she's not referring only to herself she include us Filipinos and also the Opening Statement was perfect. She emphasized her advocacy helping our children which is the mission/vision of Miss Universe Organization. So, for me she is my number 1 selecting top 10. During swimsuit competition she is my number 1 because the way she carry her swimsuit particularly during runway, when she walked her swimsuit fits perfectly on her it didn't crumpled followed by South Africa, then Venenzuela. Evening gown competition, my top choice is Miss Philippines {Catriona,} when I saw that gown it was a jaw dropped OMG. It reflects fire like a lava with combination of Jessica Rabbit style and the way she pose it looks like a statue in Puerto Prinsesa located in Baker place. The way she walked amazing and the commentator is right very sultry walk. Then followed by Venezuela, Curacao, Canada, Vietnam and South Africa. So overall, Catriona is my number 1 on top 5 So, when they called the top 5, I always believe that the person who is in the middle usually the leading among the rest. The Q & A on top 5, Miss South Africa for me got the best answer followed by Catriona then Venenzuela. Catriona's answer is good though I don"t agree on the last part about alcohol and cigarette is good but in moderation. The reason why I don't agree for me cigarette is absolutely not good to our health. Top 3 called Philippines, South Africa and Venenzuela . When Miss Philippines {Catriona} answered the questioned, told myself game over because she nailed it. Remember I;ve mentioned that I do some research on her and I watched her interviewed in Bottomline and she really do her homework cause Tito Boy advise her stick to her experienced, look for the beauty, children and always end strong. with impact. Of course cnuportahan ko c Catriona,siya ang gusto kong manalo.Hindi ko na minention 'yung mga countries na nakapasok sa top 20 mula sa Africa & Asia Pacific 'jan sa comment ko.Para sa'kin,una pa lng 'nung nanalo c Catriona sa Binibining Pilipinas alam kong siya na ang next Miss Universe.Naawa lng ako sa mga hindi nakapasok na iba mula sa minention ko 'jan sa comment ko ksi bnigay nila 'yung best nila.Actually lahat cla,hindi lng c ate Cat.Ok,BYE🙂

I agree. Very unfair to sa ibang candidates. Europe wasn’t even strong. Di talaga deserving yung placements dun. The good thing is madaling nalaglag yung ibang competitors ni Cat from the Americas. Pero sa tingin ko kng yung format is the trump format, Catriona will still win. Kahit saang pageants mo pa sya isalang, mananalo at mananalo sya, kahit Miss Earth, Miss International o Miss World pa yan. Kung hndi lng nagdala ng malaking kalan si Julia at yung NDs ng Indo at PRico, panalo si Cat dun. Hahaha But past is past and we have our 4th Miss Universe. 😘
