Miss Thailand is so deserving and she fits the Miss International prototype. On the other hand I so wanted Patch to win but her styling from day 1 to the finals ruined her chances especially her hair.

Patch was a strong contender. However, she was not what MI was looking for this time. Congratulations Patch for a job well done.

Patch's speech was amazing! She was perfect! On the other hand, I like Thailand's speech because it was very relatable.

PangMiss U Ang styling nya for me. They should have kept her natural hair and her hairline as it is. People are ranting simply because they want her to win and they like her original styling prior to the international stage.

I was expecting PH to win again because of the answer and was shocked when Thailand was announced the winner. But after some time tama nga na you'll understand why she was the winner. Humble, sweet, and natural looking girl or approachable. I think she will do great on her reign. High expectations kay Patch like with Ms India sa Ms Earth na worse d nka pasok sa semi finals. I guess Patch was more worried sa expectations ng Pinoy fans than herself. Being an attorney okay na and being a beauty queen is a hit or miss.

I’ve been following the Miss International insta page, and talagang bagay na bagay kay Thailand yung position. Simple lang sya. Hindi sya nag standout before coronation night kasi tahimik lang sya, pero she was on my mind na she was one of the most beautiful contestants there. Still, hindi ko sya na pili as one of my picks, pero tamang tama lang sya nanalo. I feel like madaming factors nag contribute sa pag katalo: 1. Hair nya=swimsuit hair and evening gown hair 2. Translator 3. Content nga is too deep with big words 4. Kinabahan si Patch, honestly, nawalan sya ng poise during swimsuit round 5. Embarrassingly loud fans 6. Maybe she doesn’t have the physical features the organization is looking for 7. She’s meant for bigger things

I think karamihan sa masyadong bastos at mayayabang magcomment ay yung mga newer generation na di nakaexperience nung time na wala tayong ginawa kundi pumalakpak lang sa background. Yung tipong sisimulan mo talaga ang show at tutok na tutok ka kasi alam mo na after magpapakilala ang candidate natin last time mo na sya makikita. Yung tipong mahagip lang ng camera ang candidate natin na nasa background nagsisisigaw na tayo. Sana maisip nila na mahabang panahon din tayong naging thank you ladies....

Tita L has been so precise in her analysis and explanation. Thats the reason why i always tune in to her page and updates. It helps a lot to clear our doubts.

In the end, we can only expect our candidates to do their very best. They embody our hopes and we cheer them and support them. She represented the Philippines very well -- nothing to be embarrassed about, she did the Philippines proud. Except the part about being late (hope it is not true!)), although she had mentioned in a BottomLine interview that she would not be hurried if she is not ready. I still cheer and congratulate her for her excellent performance at the pageant. She carried herself very elegantly and she is a total rockstar. Let's also not forget that LUCK plays a role also in beauty competitions. Congratulations and thank you to the Philippines's candidate, Patricia Patch Magtanong. While watching, I was worried she was too polished. And when they announced Thailand as the winner, I thought she was this sweet unassuming lass that maybe the pageant or organisation can still mold into their own? Still proud of Patch regardless of the outcome and I want her to go to Miss World.

I believe kung bakit nanalo si Miss Thailand is that because it is NOT ALWAYS the beauty that be FAST TRACKED or PRIORITIZED TO, but the beauty WITHIN!!! We keep on saying, "IT IS NOT WHAT YOU'VE GOT OR WHAT YOU ARE, BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO." We are so indulge in high technology, gadgets, programs, so much education, intelligence, wittiness, elegance (which for me Miss Mexico is my No.1 because she is QUEENLY LOOKING and always a STEREOTYPE TO PREVIOUS WINNERS, which I think the Japanese people starts to change their taste to being RELATABLE to all walks of life, and so on.), etc. but we forget THE BEAUTY INSIDE US, the GENUINENESS, the CORE VALUES, VIRTUES, SIMPLICITY, SINCERITY, BEING A DREAMER, HUMILITY, etc. and that's what Miss Thailand is that despite bullying because she's just an ordinary girl, a pharmacist compared to other achievers, etc. she is very PERSISTENT TO PURSUE HER DREAMS of becoming Miss International. Actually, yung laban na pinakita ni Patch pang Miss Universe! Hindi pang Miss International! Okay naman performance nya... ganun Lang talaga... you win or you loose! 👍 but it’s not the end of her journey!

I agree with you Tita 100%. Also i would like to point out na Patch really aims for Miss Universe Crown, i know that this also affected her performance kasi, ang iisipin ng mga Hapon, Bakit ko ibibigay yung Miss International sayo kung iba pala Gusto mo. I love patch ! She did a great job :)

During the top 8 speech, i really liked Thailand and betting on her to win. Napaka gaan sa mata kasi and her speech was simple yet very genuine. I loved Patch pero minsan her smile looked nervous or something..hindi ko ma explain na parang mabigat yung vibe niya that time. Maybe it was the hair, mabigat tingnan✌🏻 Just my 2 cents.

I think it's not her speech that loses her but her make up and hair who were seem old fashioned. She is more beautiful seeing in simple make up.

First ko palang napanood si si Patch sa Binibining Pilipinas sya talaga ung unang napansin because of appeal na naibibigay nya sa mga manonood I expected na sya ang Ms. Universe but unexpectedly di ko alam kung deserve ba ni Gazini Ganados ang Korona ng Ms. Universe coz ng mawitness ko ang final answer hindi ganun ka powerful ka amaze sa mga tao escpeciallh sakin. But still despite of being failed sa Ms. International I know that someday Patch Magtanonv will conquer the stage of Ms. UNIVERSE...😍😍😍😍

I have supported Patch since BBP days but just look all the 5 winners - fresh looking lahat! I agree with some of the people here. Her speech was too strong. I don't think the interpreter was her only downfall. Had she been styled differently she might have had made it among the 5 winners. Make up was harsh and the updo made her older.

filipino here, but i agree with the result. i don't care about the translation issues. it's clear the judges were banking on not just english fluency, but also nonverbal qualities. ms. thailand showed those nonverbal qualities, the IT factor, to be crowned ms. international 2019 in spades. ms. thailand's speech certainly was not as sophisticated as patch's, but it was certainly more heartfelt. no artificial big words to try to impress the judges with. she just spoke the truth from her heart. ms. thailand touched the hearts of the japanese people with her authenticity and simplicity. she may not have patch's seasoned beauty pageant confidence and sophisticated prepared speech in fluent english, but she certainly has a very inspiring appeal

Patch is really a good candidate, pretty and smart! She should have been the winner if not at least be placed. Styling, gown, hair are not bad enough for her to lose or not be placed. Her speech is really good. I felt when the judges learned Phils has a big chance to win ( and they don’t want her to win obviously) they decided not to placed her at all. In tagalog , feeling ko nabubuysit na sila sa atin dahil lagi n lng tayo nanalo or mga candidate ntin eh may ilalaban talaga At hindi pahuhuli sa laban!

After my last subject, pinanood ko agad ang speech niya; maganda, mahusay ang delivery, but i think ang minus factor dun is parang kinabisado na sagot or yung naplan na okay dito ako magstick para mukuha sila so i guess dyan natalo ni Thailand si patch, habang pinapanood at pilit kong iniitindi bakit natalo ni thailand ang speech ni patch na super powerful and dun ko lang na discover its because of sincerity, humble, sweet message ni thailand- she may not deliver her speech like patch but she caught the heart of the japanese.... So better luck next year. And baka gusto muna ni MI na magpahinga ang pilipinas dahil masyado ng sunod-sunod... Malay natin next year ibalik na ulit nila ang korona satin,pinatikim lang ng pahinga... Or maybe next year ang dapat ipadala na sa MI is not that totally fluent and has wide vocabulary pagdating sa english na kandidata. Or we have to send a girl na malambot talaga ang features, super sweet na face at sweet ang pananalita niya...

speech nagkatalo. at that point pantay pantay na lahat ng candidates. First off conservative japan is not yet that open to the concept of gender equality. japan ranks 21st among all countries that is not open to that idea. patch chose the wrong theme even though she wholeheartedly backs it up. Secondly she worded her message too big. the idea of as a child being subjected to different standards as other boys her age already is quite a mouthful to decipher especially for a translator. And then all of a sudden nag segue sa fear of harassment and violence. Kahit ata kayo hindi agad agad matratranslate sa english quickly enough. Actually pang miss universe ang answer nya not MI. MI dapat concise and simple pero heartfelt. listen to miss Thailand’s answer and you’ll know what I mean. And finally the third reason is umay factor na ang Philippines at venezuela. Venezuela was best in evening wear yet she wasn’t able to penetrate the top 8. Philippines was first runner up last year and we already have 6 wins. It’s time for other countries to win.

I strongly agree with all your points but not with the umay factor. Every year is a whole different competition and it's quite unfair to say that a Philippine or any powerhouse country's candidate will not win just because they have already won multiple titles in many years. It should be a fair field every year. If other underdog countries would like to win then they should send very competitive girls. If your argument was true, then powerhouse countries should stop sending deserving candidates a year or two after a win.

Congrats to be on the top 8!. As you said, its the hair and despite her superb look and performance, it's her look that was not consistent. Her swimsuit is my concern. Her speech is quite overdone. This pageant pick winners who are simple,natural, poised, naturally beautiful.

It wasn’t for her: hairstyling issues, when i heard her speech i thought well it was flawless but then i said the content was heavy for a very reserved japanese culture and when i heard thailand’s speech i thought they will choose thailand (and i was right) - the interpretation was bad knowing japanese have a very hard time learning english.. i was hoping they’d have Patch in top 5 at least but with less expectations.. it was not not our luck

Isa lang ang nakapagpatalo kay Patch, she's allergic to flowers. Miss Thailand is gorgeous and sweet for me so hindi masama loob ko.

It is not always the most beautiful and the smartest woman wins. She did really well and as deserving as the winner, there was just someone else destined to get the title. As for stereotyping the Japanese people/culture, I don’t think it is because they were too conservative, in fact Japan is more open, look at their fashion, anime, technology, even adult entertainment.

Kasi porket may "atty." sa pangalan feeling ng ibang jan dapat manalo na agad kaya lalong nasaktan. Wala sa professional honorifics ang basehan kung deserve ba sa korona. Maging gracious in defeat din tayo minsan.

so patch's team made a professional mistake hahahahaha nawala ang kanilang pagka culture sensitive, di naging japan-centric ang packaging kay patch. naging standard beauty queen ang packaging niya. it made her stand out, but in an unpleasing way for the japanese sensibilities

I agree with you about her styling on the first few days and I guess, she really needed filters to have better photos. I was just happy that she made it to the final 8... I was so afraid each day that she uploaded her photos. It was only now that I learned that her hair was colored. It made her look matured, but this is just my personal observation. Maybe, I really expected better with the looks, pasarela, styling, etc. Anyway, we still have Gazini, Dee, Supra, & Intercon. Thanks Tita L.!!!

After nya tapusin ang reign nya as Bb. Pilipinas International, sana sumali sya sa Miss Universe Philippines. 🙏

Yong aura at intelligence ni Patch ay pang MU talaga. MI likes doll-like at fresh beauties at sa MW naman mestizang Pinay ang gusto ni Julia Morley. Sa MU lang talaga maglaban- laban ang poise and grace and intelligence na meron si Patch. Lesson learned for make up artists: no to heavy make up especially around the eyes.

I was rooting for patch to win since pa noong MUP2019 pero deserving din talaga ang thailand sa crown as miss international 2019.. tanggapin na nating hindi para sa atin ang korona ng MI2019

Mali lang talaga ng stylish ni Patch is kung kelan ang laban saka lang nag-experiment, lumayo sila sa comfort zone at sa styling na bagay talaga kay patch sa mga commonly nananalo sa international. Logic nlang yung bun nya: tingin ba natin kung nanalo sya kakasya kaya ang korona?? Baka mahirapan pa ilagay. Then sa speech: No Bias. Deserve din ni thailand yung crown no doubt kahit sa speech sobrang sincere at attached sa tao, si Patch is pangalawa dahil no doubt magaling talga si patch sa sagutan. Ang tanong is bakit hindi sya naging 2nd o kahit pumasok sa top 4?? So, anong reason kung bakit hindi sya napasok?? Marahil hindi talaga sya nagustuhan ng judges based on aura at styling.
