Nala also has long periods where they maybe in a hostel or hotel when the weather is very bad that can go on for weeks so I think she could adapt quite quickly as she's experienced both lifestyles

That reminds me of when I moved outside the U. S. w/ my two cats. People asked me if I brought lots if their favorite toys to help them feel at home. I said, "I brought their favorite thing--me!!" Nala will be fine no matter where she is or what she's doing as long as Dean is there HE is her home, just as I am my cats' home.

watched the 2nd time and just realized there are some amazing camera angles, ie; beneath the wheels going over the wood bridge, and the shot that panned around to the back of the bike and the flag whipping. You really are good at this stuff Dean, good pics of Nala are not your only skill!

I work in the travel industry, and I am a big fan of slow travel. You and Nala personify (catify?) this concept perfectly. Every place has something beautiful to show if we just take the time to travel slowly and enjoy the moment. I've really been enjoying the way you show the interesting images and people you see and meet along the way. It's also been nice seeing how you combine camping with staying in guesthouses, hotels, hostels, and working farms- nice way to support the local tourism. And Nala is such a treasure, the perfect travel companion.

I wonder if he has been working out some arrangements with accommodation providers to talk about his experiences at their place and show it in his coverage in exchange for discounted accommodation. It is especially helpful for people to see these places where they could stay with pets. If he reaches out to Tourist Boards before he visits countries he might get their help in pointing out places to visit and possible funding support. The downside of that is that it would lose some of the spontaneity of Dean's travels, but he could also be a good spokesperson for slow travel and less visited places and responsible travel in these countries. It's definitely something he should check out, or his support staff running the website with him should check out. Sadly, I don't think he would visit my country, Iceland, at this point since we have strict rules on quarantining animals upon arrival. We've relaxed the rules a bit, and animals in quarantine are treated very well, but it would not be something I'd recommend. However, I hope Dean does visit other parts of the Nordic countries. I'd love to see him visit the Faroe Islands and the Åland Islands.

That was a scary incident. Relieved you know how to defend yourself. That’s what’s scary about camping in new territories.

I am actually surprised it took this long before something like that happened (I'm talking about the robbery,not the fall from the scooter..) every time I saw you and Nala camping in those isolated places i was a bit scared because unfortunately this is not a safe world anymore (and it's not the coronavirus I'm talking about )..happy everything went well and nothing bad happened to you or Nala,just please be careful,there are a lot of crazy people walking on this planet.. Dean and Nala are truly a treasure. An unlikely duo who show us what life is really about. I love to journey with them, to these far off places, and leave everything else behind. I don't think I've ever even seen a glimpse of Slovakia. I feel as if I'm there with them. Nala lounging about, on the hotel bed, is a sight of beauty! Yes, I think it's time for a roomier and easy to assemble tent.

Aw Dean I’m sorry you got robbed, hopefully that kid didn’t get away with anything valuable of yours other then a few bruises and his lesson learned. I’m glad you are a strong man and sleep with a knife while keeping your precious Nala safe by your side at night. Time for a new tent that can accommodate your valuables!
