I'm just glad you're ok. I know how important what you are doing is. It's just the awful state of affairs in Serbia also makes it dangerous for you and Nala. It must be painful to experience such a huge catastrophe happening there. My heart goes out to the innocent animals and the people who try their best to help everyone that they can. I'm so glad and proud that you helped so many while you were there.

That's really heartbreaking. I can see Dean fighting against his emotions. It's hard to stand. Respect and lots of love and support to Dean and Nala.❤

Obviously there ARE people in Serbia who care for animals (and the environment). If there wasn't these ladies wouldn't have contacted Dean and there wouldn't be animal shelters. The people who dump animals and are so careless with litter bring shame to the country.

I have been so worried about you both Dean and Nala. Hope all is ok and gran and family are ok as well.

I was too. I'm not on FB but his page is public so last week I went & checked on him & Nala. He's been trying to find homes for the two pups he rescued a few months back. So I'm assuming it's kept him from filming videos as he was so busy.

@@LCLW63 yes... he's found them homes now but took long because he had to get them there and the first one he found needed surgery rehab and then some He made sure she was well before she found home and omg what a transformation. Amazing

@@LCLW63 He is always filming. But he just hasn’t had time to create and edit and upload any videos. He also mentioned that his internet connections weren’t always great during this time. I fully expect that we’ll be seeing some videos that catch us up on everything he’s been doing, now that he’s in a position to do so. Like today’s video was around the same time he rescued the dog, Yasuki, who we saw in the last video.

This absolutely broke my heart, and I'm bawling my eyes out. I think countries across the world should provide no-strings funding for shelters, and a TNR program, for those animals who cannot be rehomed for whatever reason. TNR would go a long way to reduce situations like this, and while definitely not ideal, it would stop abandoned animals from breeding. Anyone caught abandoning or harming an animal, should receive an automatic prison sentence. Thankyou Dean and Nala, for shining a light on this, and for being superheroes. 💜💜🐈🏅🌠🌠

It’s heartbreaking to see that people can be so callous. Why can’t they take responsibility for their animals and get them neutered instead of abandoning them. Have missed you both! So heartbreaking with all the canines being dumped in the middle of nowhere to fend for themselves. There are many kind souls who go out and feed hundreds of stray dogs, bless their hearts ❤ Sadly, the same happens with our feline friends as well. 😢 But you might have saved the lives of 11 pups who might not have survived......and for that we commend you.

Over 3 months!

watching Nala convinced my partner to fet a harness and leash for our big boy, 16 lbs cat. We just finished a 4000 kns trip and it all went well. Thank you for your posts

You are the kindest most humane person. To rescue animals, trees, what a guy.

I am haunted by that first dog that approached you. So skinny and with so many mats, but so friendly and so obviously desperate for human contact. My heart is breaking for that dog.

I hope those shelters are "no kill" shelters that truly find good homes for the animals.

I live in Denmark and we don't have ONE SINGLE stray dog!!! Thankfully we have a great and strict dog law, and government are checking if dog owners follow it all the time. However, we don't have any cat laws, so we have quite a lot of stray cats. but yes, no stray dogs at all!

Horrible to see that people don't care for animals and not sterilizing them to stop this endless desaster. Thanks for helping.

And I hate to say it, but the fact that he can rescue the puppies means that people are willing to adopt a puppy but not an older dog. And who knows? If they're not truly ready for the responsibility, those puppies might wind up right back where they started. I learned from friends that I stayed with in Spain that the government requires dogs to be chipped now. Because too often, they get the puppy at Christmas time, and by summer it's big and it's an annoyance and the charm has worn off. My friends town was in between a major city and the coast, so they were in the town where dogs got dropped off all the time. So the government is requiring that animals be chipped now ....not for the sake of the owners, but for the sake of the pets, to make irresponsible owners pay when they do these things

I know you can't save them all as much as we want to, I have rescued many cats and dogs over the years, finding their owners, a new home or I kept them as my own. In the future I plan to help 100+ abadoned dogs that is rescuing animals dumped at the edge of the Everglades in Florida. The woman that started the group doesn't sleep well at night because as many as she rescues she knows there is more out there waiting. I don't think I could have left that one behind or would have went back for her😢 I love your plan for having a trailer to pull behind. Newbie here, just finding you and Nala last month, playing catch up and loving every video🤗🐾🐈🐾

Sad to see a country that has too many stray pets roaming that it’s overwhelming. Suppose It’s maybe better than a poor country that eats them so there are no animals anywhere at all. I’ve heard that’s how North Korea is and possibly Russia could be that way, maybe it is well you probably won’t get there to see that. I’m in America where often animals get abandoned and then starve because no one expects them to be roaming in a nice neighborhood uncared for. As a result, we end up feeding stays to discover exactly that they couldn’t have owners and be so hungry! Unfortunately, it is the very lucky ones with homes, whatever their homes are like even as Nala has Dean & a blessed life!

My local Humane Society was full to bursting with hundreds of cats and dogs, mostly, and in desperate need for people to adopt or foster. This past weekend they waived all adoption fees and all but 4 dogs and one lone bunny got new homes. I would have been there to do so but am caring for my eldest, a feral rescue 18 year old mama kitty, who is in renal failure and suffers from dementia. She won't tolerate newcomers in her present condition. So I'll wait as, sadly, as we all know, more will come along. So Dean and your friend in Belgrade, thank you for all you do. It's rewarding but heartbreaking work.

@@deborahemielita5949 Yes.. a happy future for Yasuki..tho she still needs special care..also there’s a beautiful white pup ‘Charlie’ that Dean rescued near death on side of road with traffic zooming by..he was nursed back to health by vet care and Deans love and attention.. he too has happy forever home in Sweden or Belgium🤔, I think Dean will cover this in future videos hopefully.

I don’t know much about Serbia other than the terrible conflict that killed thousands. Who ever they are they are only human and we all usually respond to kindness for others. Animals show us up for who we really are. Careful though, because a battle of wills can be deadly. Corruption happens across the board. But those rivers and towns look so inviting for hikers and adventurers. The hidden secrets and mysteries just waiting to be uncovered. You make everything fun and exciting Dean. 👍💕

Partly agreed so keep in mind that countries like Serbia needs help and raising awareness how the animals are bad treated here. Thanks to Dean we makes steps in order to help animals in Serbia. We cannot avoind countries like this one it would be selfish to these beaultiful animals that deserves beter. ❤ 🙏

@@sanjajovicic4247 Agree that awareness needs to be raised in places like Serbia. Not sure if you saw the whole situation regarding Serbia on Instagram, but, unfortunately, Dean had to cross the border at one point out of Serbia for a few hours, and, thinking he would just be able to get back in to where he had left Nala, he was then denied re-entry. He made it back in eventually, but was advised to exit the country ASAP, which he did. I know he won't let that experience stop him from bringing awareness and helping every animal he can, but right now, Serbia is not a place he should be, so that was the reason for my comment about Serbia. I truly hope that the light that Dean shone on that country, or any other place neglecting/abusing their animals, and continues to burn bright and that real reform for the rights of animals takes hold. 👍😸

I have trapped, neutered and fostered more than 20 cats and kittens and there are so many more in my area. Thank goodness we have such good people like you and Dean, who show care through their actions. 👍😃

@@laurabishop7922 I also spay cats and feed ones but there are new always because people are not aware of spay benefits. Another girl who found other 7 puppies handle numerous dogs. We have to work on to bring awareness, that is a big chalange since we are organised in small groups or like individual one while our government do not care for stray animals problem.
