I took Dean’s advice to ‘not shop, adopt” and I did. I have a lovely black and white cat called Baz. He was found in a collector’s home, malnourished, sick and covered in fleas along with 22 others. He’s now healthy, happy and loved.

Seeing the Nuthatch took me back to my childhood, when we used to see a pair, making their nest in the same tree, year after year. They weren't that common, but I didn't realise that at the time...

Beautiful shot of Nala, Nessie and the sunflowers!!! How wonderful to hear that you are still helping animals along the way. I have a neighbor/ friend and a granddaughter who also always seem to be in just the right spot to find an animal in need…just like you. I think you three are the chosen ones. I have 2 sweet cats now (brother and sister) for the last 9 years, that my granddaughter found under my son’s deck one cold December and took them in the house to feed and get warm. Then she let me know about them and I took them in to help me through my grieving process of just having to have a vet out to euthanize my very, very special 15-year-old cat, Woody, who had cancer and was in pain. Oliver and Abby give me love and great joy every day. It was so lovely to learn that Yasuki is doing so well and has a forever family and dog brother in Belgium, and to see her running around and playing in a yard. It was kind of you to let her go there. I am 80 and living in Texas but had told my daughter in California about your channel and talked about you and Nala and how you have also rescued puppies along your travels…and one day-just out of the blue-she texted me and said, “Yasuki has such a beautiful face.” It shocked me to death almost, because I had no idea she had checked in with your Facebook page, because she is so busy. 😂 It made me so happy. I’m not surprised at all to learn that you just rescued another puppy in need along the way. Thank you for helping Charlie and giving him a forever home in Sweden. You are so kind, Dean. Love you ❤️!

The bird you photographed is an Eurasian nuthatch Dean! I live in the Netherlands, and have a similar visitor in my garden from time to time. Here, we call them ‘boomklever’ which literally translates to ‘tree stick’, and that’s exactly what they do, they hop up and down the stems of trees like there is glue on their feet, seemingly defying gravity. I love how good you are to Nala and all the other animals you come across, keep up being a good human! :-)
