You are amazing! I follow your techniques, weekly warm oil treatments, oil after hand washing, Kerasal nightly, and many product recommendations. Routine is simple and does not take long at all. My nails have never been better, healthier, look gorgeous and I’m almost 70 (still vital, hip & adorable 😉). Thank you for the invaluable honest education. Viewers, please listen to her because I have tried it all. Invest in the basics, patience, diligence will pay off and ultimately save you a lot of money.

I wish I have found your channel before going to do gel nails in a salon that ended up damaging my nails and I'm in the very slow process of recovery. I had healthy natural nails prior getting the builder gel done, which chipped after just a couple of days, so I went to get it removed and she just filed it off my nails mostly, she didn't take the time to soak them off properly. Now I'm dealing with very dry thin nails, that were very painful in the first days as well. I'm using oils as advised by you and hoping for the best. When I use normal nail polish now and nail polish remover, my nails get some white spots which then gradually go away within a day or so. So I just gave up using nail polishes altogether until they completely grow out their damage. I also bought a hardener, but after seeing your videos decided not to use it on damaged nails. Thank you so much for all your advice

Thank you for this info. I personally have very healthy nails that are quite thick. I'm starting nail school next month, but Ive been testing out and learning about gels because I wanted to get a head start (I learned right away to cure twice as long as required, to be safer). I had thought about using my mother as a model while in school, but now I won't because she has quite damaged nails and I had thought if I used the more flexible products that she'd be safe, but now that I know that HEMA can penetrate damaged nails, I will definitely stick to regular manicures for her.

Thank you so much for this video. Now I know I have a gel allergy. I also know that using the Nailtiques nail hardener is not helping with my grow out and it’s just drying out my nail resulting in onycholysis . I just filed off all the damages nail including the lifting area. I already use the CND Recovery RX but I was using it on polished nails. I will be wearing my nails bare until they are healthy again. I just pray the onycholysis goes away completely this time.

The tiny dab of oil does really work, and I'm glad you mentioned it again. I've followed up with lotion after oil so that I can do normal things without getting things oily afterwards. My hands and nails stay moisturized!

Your oil soaks and videos have been helpful. While cutting the damaged part feels like i have no nails, i keep telling myself its ok because healing takes time and they (and i ) will be stronger and healthier in time.

Hi Anna, thank you so much for these videos they’re very helpful. I heard from another educational video that the risk of absorbing nails isn’t to nails, it’s to the surrounding skin. But it makes sense that if the nails are extremely thin hema has the potential to penetrate. I just want to fact check this somehow.
